Problem With Date

My insurance company specified 7/7/08 as the surgery date.  My date is the 8th.  Adrienne called yesterday to tell me she had resubmitted the request to Aetna to change the date.  She didn't know why they would specify a date when Dr. Price's office does the scheduling.   I really like Adrienne.  She is so upbeat.  She said Aetna told her they should complete the change by the middle of next week, but if they don't I will be moved back to the 7th which is fine with me.  The sooner the better!!

Way to go!  I don't know why the insurance company would dictate a specific date.  I could see if they said within 30 days.  Maybe they are counting it as 30 days from when they received the file. We need to ask an insurance person.  Knowing that some surgeons only perform surgery on certain days, a person would think they would have contacted Dr. Price's office.  Interesting.  However, at least you were approved and it's going to happen!  Cassie L. is having her's done on Monday!!!  My file was "sent" last Monday or Tuesday.  I failed to ask if it was via U.S. mail or fax.  I'm just trying to stay busy and not think about it.  I just need it approved before July 1, that's when the new policy begins.  Jo, I'm happy for you.  We'll have to meet up at one of Dr. Price's upcoming forums they have.  Have a great weekend.  Donna
