WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY
Belated happy Fathers day to any of you that have Fathers yet, you are lucky and I hope you hugged yours today.
Joe and I worked all day again. Well we quit about 2pm. But we started about 8 am this morning. The bathroom is now the proud owner of a new tub surround, has 4 good sheetrock walls that have all been mud and taped at the seams. We will sand them down tomorrow and see if it needs more done, if not we will paint the walls and ceiling and put up the trim and medicine cabinet and lights. Then all we will have to do in there is the floors.
I spent most of the day pulling weeds and spraying the weeds in the pathways so everything should be looking better soon.
Monday morning I will be going to Home Depot and wal mart and getting stuff for the house and for our house and our tummies. Lol
Also have to get some money out of savings to pay some bills. Be glad when money starts comeing in instead of all of it going out lol
We are thinking about trying to rent out the guest cottage not on a monthly basis but for week end fishing groups or hunting groups etc. don’t know just an idea. Would have to still keep it open for family or friends that wanted to use it a certain week end. Or something.
Everyone must have been busy today with Fathers Day celebrations.
COF SUPPORT GROUP MEETING IS NEXT MONDAY NIGHT THE 23RD AT THE LIBRARY CENTER
6;30 TO 8 PM
MEETING IN THE AUDITORIUM…
As you all know this will be my first support meeting as the new leader. I need all of you that come to the support meeting in
\
CRAIG:::wow that is really neat that you got to go swimming, I really love to get in the water, don’t know if you would call it swimming, would be a stretch of the meaning of the word I would think. Lol . I do a lot of standing and stretching and exercising. I can (swim) I can keep my self afloat but that is about it. But I do know that what you are saying is really true. Being in the water does make your back feel better it takes the stress of your bones that is for sure.
LORI:::: moving is such a choir isnt it? I hope God doesn’t want us moving anymore in this lifetime. I love it down here and my flowers grow like we have majic soil. What more could a person want.
Your little girl would she like to have some seeds to plant flowers from? Send me your full name and address and all in the message part of this site. And I will send her some flowers. Is that ok with you? You might have to go by the water can thing . lol
Do you all have a patio area where you are moving to?
Anyway let me know
BEV:::::: didn’t mean to scare you with the carb monster thing you do . don’t know why there has to be so many carbs in such good food lol . Dr. H says no more than 20 carbs at each meal and no more than 100 in a days time but I gain weight on that amount. That seems really high to me .
Learning to groom doggies should be a fun way to make a living lol don’t know tho lots of them aren’t too happy about getting baths and cut on are they? I know they have harnesses up but ……
ANDREW:::::: WOW I knew you didn’t act like you felt up to par when you were here but a UTI that is very painful. So sorry drink till your eye balls float and help wash all those bad germs out of the body.
Southwest style is very neat and will look real cute in the house.
Sure hope we can get the thing done for you all by the end of the month…..once we get the bath room and kitchen done there wont be much else to get done really …I finished painting the kitchen this morning . wasn’t much left but I got it done and Joe said he would paint the ceilings for me ,
No Joe didn’t catch any fish but he was out on the lake and enjoyed himself and that is what counts. Of course some good walleye would have been good too.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE

Howdy Guys~n~Gals.... We had a beautiful weekend in the bootheel....It wasn't too hot but was sunny most all weekend... We had a big bbq Saturday and played in the pool, then Sunday ate left overs and played in the pool some more...I mostly floated on my mat and sunned. Got a lil bit of a tan line started.... wooo hoooo.... Well thing are in full force now with my son and the military....He goes tomorrow to finish paper work...Leaves Wed and goes to St.Louis to test and then will be sworn in Thurs and on top of that his group has a drill this weekend so he leaves to do that at Fort Leonardwood Friday!!! With him choosing going for MP he gets to stay in Missouri and that makes me feel some better.....And the unit they are putting him with just got back from tour so they wont be going out again for at least a year and the next thing set up for them is a year in Cosavo(sp)....and they aren't set to go for that till the end of next year.....So at least I will have time to adjust to all this.... I have a prayer request for a friend...Also my SIL.....She is a wonderful person...She is obese, has sugar and heart problems really bad. She has tried for WLS for some time now but her insurance will not pay....She is even considering taking out a loan in hopes it will change her health for the better....She will soon be having a serious back surgery and I am soooo worried about her.... Id like prayer the surgery goes well and gives her reliefe from all the pain she is having but also that something will come about that will allow her to have the WLS.... Well shoot got to cut this short and take care of something....I hope you all have a wonerful day....Luv & Hugs...Tammy~ammy

Good afternoon Jan and OH Peeps~
Seems like I havent been in here forever-LOL...Just 2 days, but when there is so much to share-it seems like forever!!!
IF you havent seen my post yet- I AM GOING TO BE A NANA!!!! Megan IS pregnant and she said she just knew she was and didnt want to wait till Thurs to take the test again-so she took one this morning!! I have been emotional all day thinking about my baby having a baby!! She asked me if I wanted to go to her appts with her and be in the delivery room with her. Heck yeah~Did you even have to ask? IM THERE!! I will even go to coaching classes with you-and I will MAKE sure that the docs and nurses take the best care of her that they should.....we all know how that can be! Anyway, to say Im excited, is an understatement. Its gonna be rough, she still has school to finish and all of that BUT.....all of the doors for them to move have been slamming in their faces-and I told her that is because the Lord had other plans for them. They are staying in this area and she will finish as much of her schooling as she can right here.....which means they will be here close when my 1st grandbaby is born!!! Its gonna be a girl, I know it!~~~Mike says- Honey, arent we too young to be grandparents? Heck no-we are gonna be COOL ones, because we will do things with them and take them places and spoil the crap out of them-no way are we too young! It is what it is-so we will deal with it..... Aarons mom was told that I get to be in the room with them, because its my 1st and her 6th grandchild....Yipee!!!~~~WOOO HOOO.....
Well, we got the pool all done. It says that the paint has to sit between 5-7 days-so when it rained (OF COURSE) we went out and IN the rain, hooked up the sump pump to get it off there as i****ing.....we are hoping to start filling it on Weds. It looks brand new....its ocean blue and beautiful....just a cpl of places that were harder to get to-but it looks awesome. Cant wait to get in there and start doing water aerobics and toning. Im getting really serious about working out. Nothing to hurt the back etc-but I have been walking a lot more and have started pilates, in sitting or standing position 3-4 times a week-and its going good so far-its low impact and there are only 2-3 things I cannot do. It must be working cause I was losing still-AND thats with having my monthly visitor.
The reason I hadnt been on line is because with ALL the rain we got, 10 inches in LESS than 24 hours-it jacked up a lot of our phones out here! They came out on Saturday afternoon and fixed Grandmas and Mikes parents-and when they did that-we lost ours. Anyway, they just came out and got ours fixed and the phone guy said that roughly 1/2 of our area have lost their phone service this last time! We actually had so much flooding out here that it came up to MY front door!!! We had over 2 feet of water in our pool, which was totally drained (which runs down hill from the shallow end) etc-anyhow-our garden and such...everything flooded. Both ponds-its just been horrible! It seems like as soon as we mow-its time to mow again. Everything looks nice and green at least.....
Our garden is doing great-our corn and cucumbers are looking AWESOME. Our carrots never took-but everything else is doing great. Sure cant wait until some of the veggies I like a little better than squash and zuchini are ready. Jon and Darrel ecspically love going to the garden and picking the fruits of our labor. We also have a ton of really nice looking green apples. They will be ready soon for picking-and boy is there ever an abundance! We didnt have any last year because of the late freeze-and this year-there are several PER branch and its a very big tree-usually the deer come up and eat off the branches and ground....but they havent been out there recently because of us loosing the brush and cover across the driveway-when we had to have the new sewer line put in, we lost all of the trees etc across the driveway where they usually came from.
We had a great Fathers Day. We didnt have our get together/BBQ yet-we are doing it this next weekend when we have the pool filled. A couple of Mikes RC buddies and their wives are coming out too-Mikes going to smoke some of his ribs and then they are all bringing a dish to share-so potluck style. The boys had a wonderful day with Mike, they made him breakfast (I helped of course) and then they gave him his gifts and we hung out and did stuff around the house and then went to town so Mike could practice on the track-while the boys and I went to see my dad and Kenny. I had given my dad his fishing pole the night before cause I didnt think I would see him since him and Kenny were working on their flea market booth. Anyway-stopped and got Kenny a little something, because he really doesnt have any family but us-and I wanted him to feel special too. We came home and BBQ'd. Mike and I had filet mignon (Mike had 1/2 of mine as well as all of his-LOL) and a salad from lettuce out of our garden-and the boys had burgers. Neither of them care for steak. The steak was really tender, so I did get to enjoy a few bites of it.
We are taking Grandma Vera to get her pup tonite! Im so excited for her. She has been so lonely since her dog passed away-and this Golden Retriever will be such a wonderful companion for her-and they are such good dogs, dedicated and loving and grandma needs that. She is also taking one of my kittens. I only have to find homes for 2 more-and then Im done. YAY..... They are going to the flea market this weekend if we dont get homes for them by then. I know they will find good homes.
Well, Im not sure what happened but I burned bad last weekend, and I blistered up-and instead of just peeling like I normally do-it just keeps blistering back up-even in the same places. My neck is raw....I have been putting burn cream on it-from when Mike had the 3rd degree burns on his leg-the silvadine cream, so I am hoping that will help-but even my back, chest and upper arms are blistering over and over. ???? Has this happened to anyone else?
Well, I am going to get this wrapped up-I have some laundry to get in the dryer and some other chores to get done-and then will be getting ready to go with Grandma and when I get back from Carthage getting her pup, then Mike and I are going trout fishing with the boys for a couple of hours.
**Jan-sounds like your busy as a beaver-whats new? LOL...I WISH I could do as much as you do in a days time....Im so glad that everything worked out for the 4 of you...It will all work out, Im sure and I think the idea you have about the guest house and renting it out for events-THATS A WONDERFUL idea!! What a great way to make extra money-and once just a few stay-word of mouth will get around, and before long you will be booked up months in advance! Good luck with that.
I so hope I get to go to the group this month. I want to so badly. Will have to wait and see how it goes financially. Even with Megans car, it cost over $20 round trip and right now I am strapped with the extra expenses for Stephanie and all of that.
I think a couple of ideas for subjects are the emotional changes-mental ones....like, when I was in my class before surgery they stated that nearly 1/2 of the wls patients would experience depression post-op and I thought that was the craziest thing I ever heard-HOW can one be depressed when they finally have something they really wanted and life would be so great? Now-I never gave it a second thought that our hormones-MEN AND WOMEN go nuts because fat stores hormones and when we start losing that fat-it goes somewhere for awhile. I think a lot of us go through SOME mental things like that-right? Anyway-those type changes and the physical ones-where we have our tailbones hurt-and such....just an idea, but I welcome it-because I was devastated when I realized I was getting sad and such-when my life was going the way I wanted-except for the bone and joint issues......IF I do get to make it to the group-do you like yellow (little) squash or zuchini?
**Angy-sure have missed you and glad to see you back on!!! hello there! What all are you growing in your garden? We have potatos, watermelon, onion, lettuce, garlic, basil, corn on the cob (TONS OF IT) green beans, peas, 2 different kinds of squash, cucumbers, zuchini, mustard plants, pumpkins, tomatoes-and I know I am missing a couple of things-but I LOVE going out there with the boys and looking and seeing how its all doing and picking some of it-its awesome!!! Hope everything is going good-please keep us posted. Missed ya and love ya!
**Bev- am saying prayers for you to get your job you want and also for grooming school-what a perfect job for you-you are such an animal lover-I think you would be a WONDERFUL and caring groomer!! Good luck and keep us posted.
**Tammy-First, let me say before I forget-I think that just taking a sundress with you to get home would work just perfect......I often wonder what size pants I will be in after my T/T since I can get into a 12 now. Megan keeps saying 8, but I think a 10. My apron is big-and I am glad that they pull down, because my tummy is so wrinkly and looks like a shar pei dog, it will be weird not to have all that hanging, flabby skin to look at when I pull up my shirt. Do you know if you will have a belly button? my girlfriend in Canada just had her t/t in April and she didnt get to keep her belly button. How weird is that?
Its hard-very hard-not to go over and shop in the plus size. I still go there to this day even though everything there is too big. Its force of habit. I am getting better tho. Im so excited for you! Its all going to be great. I am so glad the family IS treating you well and taking care of you!!! I didnt want to have to kick their butts the first time I ever met em! LOL....I MISS you so much too-and I am sincerely hoping that before summer is over that we either see each other at the reunion OR that you guys come early, stay and swim a few days and we go to the reunion together-like with Susan last year. That was great! Anyway-you will have your OWN room now-since we are making a guest bedroom out of mikes hobby room!!! Im praying it all works out for that-and we will just talk, talk, talk and talk-and then we can talk some more while we are out swimming and drinking our umbrella drinks-LOL.....Keep your chin up. Your in my prayers and I love ya dearly.
**Deb-I nearly wet myself about David telling you to go out waving your arms like a lunatic...OMG!!!! When I had text Mike asking him if I could shoot the cow because it wouldnt leave my decoys and such alone and I knew the turkeys wouldnt come out with that blasted cow out there and it kept inviting its cow friends over-like one of those california cow commercials on tv...anyhow-Mike was wearing leafy camo because he wasnt in the blind with me-and he got up and did the same thing-I was in the blind laughing my butt off-because he looked like a lunatic-like a walking tree that had gone nuts-and those cows did the same thing-tilted their heads looking at him like he was a nut job!!!!
Your calf story and the motorbike cracks me up-I could just see your face, and your eyes doing that bugs bunny thing!!!! How funny! So-you DID get to shoot the bull in the balls? Man! That made me cringe! Kill it by doing that? How funny, no wonder David was laughing so hard! Bet he wouldnt have thought it funny if you wouldve shot his balls off and served them to David for dinner!!! (my grandma ate rocky mountain oysters all the time-YUCK-O!!!)
We have several fences around our yard AND pool (2 around the pool area total) because our neighbors cows got out before we had the fences out here-and there was just a cover on the pool (was empty for the winter) and 2 cows went through the pool cover....One ended up in the deep end and they had to get a crane out here to get the cows out-What a mess. Im glad they cant get to my front yard-I would be like you......Your so funny! I LOVE hearing your stories. Imagine when we do meet, we will have plenty of stories to compare to-and laugh about!!!
I continue to pray for all of you. Davids procedure is Weds, right? Make sure and let us know how it goes-and PLEASE dont ever not come in and post-and non sense about it being complaining. WE LOVE to hear from you-no matter what!!! OK? Love ya and take care.
**Shannon-Im sorry to hear that some feel that we dont care to talk to them or respond. I know some get really busy-and I didnt have my computer for 4 months and I know I missed a lot-maybe since you know them, could you maybe talk to them and ask them to give us another chance? I hate that someone may feel left out or like we dont care. Some of us do a majority of our posting in the Whats Happening and even answer posts in there too!!! I love hearing about your life too-so please dont think we dont care-PLEASE keep posting and take care. We do care- I CARE!!!
Well, need to get off here, HAVE to go get my stuff done, will be leaving soon with grandma. I hope you all had a good weekend and Happy Belated Fathers Day. As always, your in my thoughts and prayers. Janet
Hey Everyone,
Kinda spent the day today just laying around, really hadnt felt that well, been taking the anti-biotics for the UTI and dunno if they just dont agree with me or what but anyway Im feelin better tonight, I have drank so much water today that my eyes are floating lol. Thanks for everyones prayers, I know they are working. We did go this morning and pick up a tv, someone from church bought a new LCD tv and had a 27in Zenith that looks new, they didnt want it anymore and asked if I wanted it so they gave it to us as a gift, wot a gift, our tv gave out awhile back and we been using our second tv which is smaller but still good so now we have 2 good tv's again, not that we watch that much tv lol, Susan is getting real excited about next week, her last day at work is a week from tuesday, she's excited about changing jobs and moving.
Jan I cant wait to get there and be a part of the COF meetings, I wish I was gonna be up there already to attend this months but next month and the rest for sure. Susan cant wait to find some lil shops to buy a few things for the house, she hasnt had any place around here to do any kind of shopping, just not that many lil shops to buy nick nacks and stuff at around here. I know branson and other surrounding places will have some neat shops to go to. Just 2 weeks and we'll be there yay!! lol
Well Im gonna head off and watch a bit of tv, y'all have a great night, thanks again for all your prayers.
Andrew

Helloooooo....gosh I feel like i haven't posted in ages. I don't even know where to start. I'll try to make a long story short. We have been short a nurse at work so I have been working the Marshall-Warsaw run. That's a lot of driving in one day, plus I see the patients inbetween those two towns. Whew...wears me out to think about it. Had a quiet father's day....but saturday is another story. We had our annual King Kamehameha day luau. Set up the bonsai falls water slide, tiki torches, and sprinklers and let the kids go at it. Truth be known...I got on the water slide too....and so did Christine...remember her? Meg also came over with her kids. We had a good time visiting and the kids were well worn out by the end of the day. My arms were so sore from trying to stop at the end of the slide...it was like exercise...but funner. There has been so much going on with everyone!!!! I'm glad everything has turned out for the better for most. I will try to post more frequently. Summer is really busy around here. I have enjoyed reading what everyone is doing and congratulations to all of you new losers!!!!!!
