Liquid Diet and Meeting Surgeon Tomorrow

 Can I just tell you all how excited I am?!? I started my liquid diet on Monday and so far have lost 5.6 POUNDS!  Yippee! Tonight, hubby and I travel to Columbia (4 hours away) to meet Dr. de la Torre and spend the entire day with the staff (nutritionists, psychologist, exercise person, anesthesiologist). Surgery is the 23rd and I'm anxious, happy, and scared LOL

Patty Congrats,  I know how ya feel but once its all done you'll be such a new woman!!!!  We'll make room for ya on the losers bench!!! I traveled 4 hours also to Sedalia to Dr. H and it was well worth every single trip. We'll keep ya in our prayers!!

Hi Patty, I know just how you feel. My surgery is on July 7th. I have the classes on June 26th. Start liquid diet on June 23rd. One minute I am so excited I can hardly stand it and the next I am terrified. I have been diagnosed with diabetes and have been on the diabetic diet and have lost about 13 lbs..I am wondering now if I can lose weight why can't I lose it and keep it off, but I know that is not going to happen.  I can already see how this can become an emotional roller coaster. Hi Patti~ Congrats on your date AND your weight loss so far!! I am so excited for you! We will be polishing that seat for ya on the Losers Bench!  Do you have an angel yet? Let us know. I may have to put a post out there to see who needs an angel-that would be someone your loved ones will call after your out of surgery so we can post that everything went well and so on.....  Keep us posted and keep your chin up-the liquid diet stinks-but the worst of it will all be over soon and it will be WELL WORTH IT..... Hi all, thanks for the words of encouragement Yesterday was a pretty long day, but well worth it. No, I don't have an angel yet....I've signed up but have yet to hear from anyone. Thanks again for the support!
