Now it's hurry up and wait.  I have gone through my 3-month plan with Dr. Price's group.  Adrienne, RN called me last Wednesday to let me know my file was handed off to Sandy that day.  I phoned this morning to find out where I was in the line-up, Sandy said she was waiting on Adrienne to finish her end of it.  I told her Adrienne called me last Wednesday and said she had given it to Sandy.  Then all of a sudden, Sandy tells me she sees my file on top of the pile and it may not be until next week before it will be submitted to insurance.   I know I'm not the only patient in the group and I work in medicine, so I know how all of this plays out.  My new insurance plan starts July 1st and the deductible is going up!  I've paid so much toward the deductible this year just get it submitted and precertified before July 1st!!  Just be honest with me people!  I know you are overworked and swimming in paper just tell me the truth.  I think I misplaced my Xanax!

I found out today I've been approved by Aetna.  As soon as I receive a letter from them, I will call Adrienne to set a date. The office has been really slow about getting insurance filed.  It took them a month or more to get me thru.  I was getting so discouraged. Hang in there, you're almost there. Jo

Waiting is difficult!  I started my journey In January 2007 and my surgery finally happened in November 2007.  Once the doctors do their thing, it shouldn't take Aetna long to put it through.  Hang in there.  I see you are in Kansas City, so am I, out by KCI.

Take care,

Trudy

God Bless,
