2 mo's out questions???

Hi ALL, have a few questions, first off ,when can you start taking regular pills-vits again (without crushing them) i know i know...but I haven't been to the 1 mo. follow up yet (my car is on the fritz..i can't afford 100.00 worth of gas to take the truck 300 miles round trip) i plan on asking my local dr. for the b12 shot , tho i've been taking the over the counter ones...whew... i feel a lecture coming on... next up, about how much weight did you all lose at 2 mo's. I feel like i should of lost more than43 lb.s   yes  no???   please respond as many of you that can remember...and i'll read all the lectures ..it's o.k   thanks guy's, susan

Susan...girl 43lbs is great for 2 months out!!! You are doing fine on your loosing....It will be hard for anyone to tell you exactly what you should loose by any certain time, because we all loose different due to different reasons.... But stop and think of it this way...If you loose 40lbs every two months, then in 6mo you would have lost 120lbs!!! Not to say you will loose exactly like that....But you should be very proud of yourself...Your on a roll and a good one at that!!! As for the pills....If unsure call your doctor...Always call your WLS doctor when in dought on anything.....But my advice is I would not take em untill I could eat normal and swallow textured food well.  Keep up the good work....Luv & Hugs...Tammy~ammy

Dr. H cleared me to take regular vit. after my 1 month visit,  I'd suggest ya call or email Margie and tell her your situation, she'll advise ya exactly what to do.  I wont give ya no lecture cuz I been there and done that like you, but do email Margie, they are very understanding.

Susan Dr. H says one month out you should be able to take whole pills. I know i did without any problem. and you are doing great with the weight thing.  I give myself my B-12 shots. Dr. H will give you an order for the vial of b12 and needles and it will cost about 6dollars for a vial that will last about 6 months .  no lecture, lot of people take b12 over the counter under the tongue . and they get along fine.
