Clothing Exchange/Pot Luck Lunch

Hello Everyone!!! I just wanted to let ya know how things will be set up at the exchange and how it'll run.  First and foremost when going through your clothing please discard the stained or tattered clothing.  Also please launder the clothing you wish to exchange and just fold it.  When you get to the exchange I'll have tables set up and we'll tape a sign with the size clothing on that table--you can just set out your clothing on the correct table.  I have a friend on a different board who attends clothing exchanges in her state and has told me a few of the issues they have had---hopefully we can avoid them.  So in order to make things fair for everyone what we'll do is the exchange is at noon on the 7th of June so first we'll eat the treats everyone brings and have a little social hour and then at 1:15pm we'll begin the exchange.  There will be NO pre shopping or browsing so that EVERYONE will have an opportunity to start shopping at the same time and not have in mind what they want to get before anyone else has a chance to see it.  (They had some issues with people pre-shopping and it caused some problems, so I thought this would help us to avoid that.)  I plan on being there at 11:30 to set up.  I'll be bringing fruit filled SF jello with SF whipped topping and a cheese ball with wheat thins and my fav pork skewers.  You do NOT have to bring more than one thing--these are just my favs so I want to share them.  You might want to be prepared to jot down the recipe of what you bring just in case someone would like it.  I do have a cooler I'll be bringing and ice.  I'll also bring trash bags for our shopping and for the garbage.  Karen has generously offered to bring the paper products.  (THANK YOU SO MUCH KAREN)  I am sooooooooo excited about this and hope EVERYONE can come.  Maybe we could even set up some car pools---it'll be sooo worth it!!!  One thing I was unsure of was under clothing---pantys probably wouldn't be something people would want second hand but I think bras are acceptable.  Also girdles or any support type clothing I think would be ok also.  I'm sorry if this offends anyone but because some of us are losing so much, clothing and under garmets can get so expensive and if laundered I don't think bras or girdles would be too inappropriate. Angie...Sounds like you are putting alot of thought in to the exchange... I think yall are going to have a blast.... I answered your message....I wont be able to make it to the exchange. I have a family reunion that day and with the way gas prices are I wont be able to afford to come because that is right at the time for my 1yr appt at Columbia.....
