I got my CPAP mask Wednesday.  Both nights I took it off before morning but don't know why.  Hope I can get used to it so I wear it all night.  I look like such a freak!!  Guess that doesn't matter since it's dark and it doesn't bother DH.  I need to get used to it so I can use during surgery since on my back is when I have the most apneas.  The doctor said I won't need after I leave the hospital.   Anyone else have problems with the CPAP? I use a CPAP machine.  When I first got it I hooked myself all up and read or watched TV in bed for about an hour before bedtime to help me get use to it.

The first few nights I'd throw my cpap mask on the floor too, but gradually I got so used to it, that it will be very hard to give it up when  I loose the weight.  They are very habbit forming once you get used to them.  It is like a switch to my brian, I put it on, hit the on button, and I'm alseep, no laying there thinking or anything, it just puts my lights out right away.

I wonder when I'll be able to give it up?  I'm off diabetes meds, fluid pills, welbutrin, everything except the cpap machine.  Maybe we are to loose about 50 pounds and get re-tested or something like that at a sleep center????  Does anyone know?

I sure hope your weight loss surgery helps you with this problem- I would not want to wear a cpap mask any longer than I had to!!!
