Hello Everyone

First time poster here, but have been lurking and reading like crazy!  I have all my paperwork in to Dr. Scott in St. Louis (De Paul).  I will have my first appointment with him on 19 May!!  I am pretty excited.  I have been looking into WLS for several years and recently when one of my sisters decided to have it done I quickly made my decision to go forward also.  I live 2 hours from St. Louis, an hour from Osage Beach and and hour and 15 mins from Springfield.  So no matter what I do, I have to travel a lot.   I have learned a lot from reading the boards on the internet.  This board is very encouraging and friendly!

WELCOME!!!! There are alot of us lurkers on here...mostly what I do. I had my surgery at DePaul a little over a year ago. They are great up there and a very knowledgable and kind bunch of nurses and staff. If you meet Patsy at the office tell her Sugar said "hi" I had the RNY what are you thinking??? Good luck and soon you will be joining us on the loser's bench...it is a great place to be!

Welcome   and I am excited for ya it is so awesome sometimes you almost get your feelings hurt cuz someone you know just walks right past ya and don't say a word but it is becuz they do not reconize ya from all the weight ya lost .  I have had to learn that cuz i was like well cuz to my self i don't change that much . Megan, Howdy & Welcome to the board...Please don't lurk...Jump on in here and let us know what's going with you..... I think you will really like Dr.Scott....He was my doctor and I just loved him to death....I used him when he was in Columbia....I have continued my follow up care there but it's almost time for another surgery and I am seriously thinking of changing to St.louis so that I can use Dr.Scott again. I know that they are saying he is at DePaul, is that where you see him at or does he have an office?? If you get a chance I would appreciate it so very much if you could drop me a phone number to where I can reach someone about making an appt. Thanks everyone for such a nice, warm welcome!  I want to have the Lap RNY.   I know I am making the right decision and look forward to the journey.  I am very anxious about Monday's appointment! Jan, thanks for the invite to the Sedalia event, but I don't believe I will be able to attend this time.  I need to save all the gas money!! Sugar, if I see Patsy, I sure will say hi!  Mawmaw Karen, I am a MiMi X 3, plus one on the way!  The 10 month old is living with us now, and I love it.  Nothing like warm hugs and kisses when they first wake up in the morning!----they provide a lot of exercise too.
