What now?

As far as I know, all my paperwork was submitted by last Thursday, the 8th.  Yesterday I called Dr. Price's office and talked to Nikki asking what happens now.  I want to know if they have everything and when it is actually submitted to insurance.  She referred me to Adrian and of course Adrian didn't answer and I got her VM.  I left a message nearly 24 hours ago and no response.  When the VM answered, it said something about acute surgical nurseline.  I called Dr. Price's office back saying I didn't Adrian was the person I needed.  I was told she is cross training and is the one I need to talk to. I've worked hard to get to this point and just want some reassurance everything is going as planned.  Am I asking too much?

JB...Hang in there....Sometimes getting responses in the beginning takes a bit.....There are soooo many getting WLS now that they have tons to do each day...And of course there is the issue of alot of people just don't get in a hurry, expecially when it's not for them selves..... I think one of the biggest complaints on the board is usually that the Doctor offices took so long on repsonding back in the beginning.... If have to call them every other day till you get a response back from somone....This is a major time in your life and no one can blame you for being excited and ready to go!!!! Keep us informed.....Luv & Hugs..Tammy~ammy

I agree no matter how busy they are someone should respond to you within 48 hours at the most. I myself would expect a call back by the next day ...And i think you have a right to know what is going on. If they dont have their act togethere then they should get it together. That is the complaint you hear over and over. I didnt have that problem with Dr. Hornbostel and dont know if anyone else did or not because when i went into him for first visit they told me that everything was in order and then gave me a time line and they were on it almost to the day. I hope they are still that way.   but your question , are you asking too much,,,,i say NO, you after all are their customer and they should treat you like you are doing them a favor by picking that doctor.

Finally, I got a call back today.  She said she had been training and apologized for not calling sooner.  I think she really called because the only thing they don't have is my letter of clearance from primary doctor.  That doctor told me 2 weeks ago she had already sent it.  Grrrrrr.  I called her and left a message to please fax it today.   Sandy will review and submit to insurance as soon as she gets that letter.
