Brenda Nutt checking In post surgery
! Wow- this loosers bench is sooo cool! Wow- honestly, I am not hungry! WOW! I'm sorry to be taking up so much width right now, hopefully soon everyone will have more 'wiggle room' as my backside shrinks! ha!
I must start out saying thank you (all) for all the prayers as of late. I got that cough and it went right away and I was a little scared about the wls because it too so long to get here and I had time to dread it, but all my fears were put to rest and my surgery was just text-book-perfect! Prayer really does for for those who believe it our God, and we should never get so secure in our belief that we think we don't need it! I pray for many of you as well, and am always happy to be asked to help pray.
I tell you, Christine, Bec, and Nancy - your visits just made me feel so special! I have not known you guys very long at all, and I so appreciate the fact that you came to see me and call me- it is so wonderful to get to know you better! My family is all several hours south, so your visits were very special to me, and Randy too I might add. Tonight Bec and her sweetie came to the Comfort Inn and we all visited and llaughed till we almost cried about somethings. Bec has a lot of questions, and I just know the Lord will bless her with surgery in due time. She is sure working hard for it- jumping through all those hoops is not a easy thing to do! I'm so sorry Iselpt through your second visit Christine! It takes me a while to get past the sleepy of the drugs.... Nancy was sporting a different shake every day in her arms...she is a woman on a mission...ha!
We will be staying at the Comfort Inn in Sedalia for a couple days. I'm doing so well I hate to, but, it's 3.5 hours home and I'm better off to stay here close to the dr. until I'm 100% and ready for travel. It would be a long ways back up here if I did get sick. But, so far I've done so great I just don't see anything happening. Tuesday we will come back up for my 1 week appointment- seems we will get home just to turn around and come back. But that's just a part of the game.
I came home on zero medicines! Just vitamins! Now Hornbostel did say I might maybe have to take lasix IF swelling remainds a problem, so I;ll keep that on hand for just incase. If my diabetes goes over 200 I'm to call and talk to him. I'm to check it once a day. So far my numbers are slowly coming down though. Seems so strange to be drinking apple juice and grape juice. I have had very little juice for years because of the diabetes...and I love it, so it's nice to not feel guilty drinking it. Tonight I'm typing and eating ice chips, so far the coldness has not bothered my pouch at all. Tomorrow I will start on the orange bulliet drink I brought for some protein.
Well, I have talked your ears off, I just wanted to pop in and say hey and thank everyone for all their help and support. I don't like typing on Randy's laptop, so I'll write more when I get home Fri or Sat. but did want to check in-
PS- WHAT is the loosers bench made of?
YEAH i was wondering what was going on with my ears lol I was just glad to be of service oh regardings the bench it is an old splintery log made that way so you wont get too comfortable just sitting on it and get up and about as soon as you can . lol Im so glad that you are feeling well. That is what i prayed for mostly was that you come thru this surgery feeling as well as i did after surgery so guess God listened huh? Hey if someone wants to pay you for saying my name do i get a share???? Just wondering will grease up your mouth so you can say it many many times. Anxious to see you again. by then you will be lots littler. wow. Just remember to push fluids and walking, protein mixed with water will count towards your water load too. get well fast.
