Back Surgery 5-19-08

I will be having back surgery on 5-19-08

I have to be at Des Peres Hospital in

St. Louis at 5:30 A.M.!!

So that means we will have to leave home between

3:00 and 3:15 A.M.!!

Everyone please say a prayer for me.

They told me my recovery will take a long while,

the nurse said it won't be easy, I just asked

will I get a lot of Narcotics!! lol

She assured me I would. I will stay in the hospital

from 2 to 4 nights depending on how extensive

the surgery is. Will take out broken bone and use graft

bone from my pelvic and then do a fusion of the 2

vertebra with some titanium in there too

Not only will I have the bone pain from surgery

but something else I was informed about is I will

have a lot of muscle pain where they have to pull

apart the muscle over my spine to get to the spine!

Hadn't thought about that OUCH!!!!!

Tammy, looking forward to seeing you at the next

support meeting but after that I will just have to see

if I will make it to the next.
