How long should Hubby take off?
Hello ladies, my husband wanted me to ask you all about how long should he take off when I have my surgery? I don't think it should be long huh? I have been reading some of the posts and it seems to me that you are all back to your normal lives driving, going out, and so forth within in 3 days. Just want to know so I can schedule when he is not on a deployment. Thanks all,
Kerri.

Kerri as long as you do really well then that will probably be about right. do you have any children, know that you wont be able to pick them up for about 5 to 6 weeks. things like that might figure into it too.

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Actually things have changed since Jan had surgery....he takes the lift restriction off after 2 weeks. My hubby took off a full week and ended up getting odd jobs around the house done. You can't drive for the first week either so keep that in mind. I would tell him a week just to be on the safe side, but I told mine i had the option to send him back to work if i started getting sick of him....that's how the odd jobs got done. Where is your husband stationed and what does he do? Mine is in the B2 program here at Whiteman.
I have 2 kids, ages 4 and 2, my husband took my surgery day off and then took a half day the day I was released. Luckily my Mom was down the road the day after my release, but, I was still pretty much on my own lol. It really will depend on how you feel. Some folks recover fast, others take a bit longer.
