HELPPPP, I'M SICK!!!!
Hi Amy,
First of all-I would like to say its been nice seeing you posting! I enjoy your posts and your sense of humor for sure!! Im glad your here!!
Anyway-All I wanted to say was that when I was first post-op, I had a "food" journal-and I highlighted things that didnt work-made me dump and so on-and would try them again in 2-3 weeks. Some things are more tolerated in time. Some cant do chicken, some cant do beef, some cant do certain soups-and I mean EVER again....Mine is pork.
When I was in the soup stage-all soups made me dump and they were on the list! But, anyway-it was amazing help-because I couldnt remember everything that made me dump and so on...I couldnt do any kind of egg but scrambled with cheese-for about a year or so!!
I find that things crunchy-to this day-are easiest for me, isnt that funny? I LOVE having salads-but I cannot eat lettuce unless it is fresh-none of that bagged stuff-or I dump instantly-so when I go to a restaurant, I always ask about their lettuce. That journal helped me so much-because it helped me get to know my pouch and what worked and didnt-and I used it for the first year. Good luck to you-the "foamies" arent fun-and I, like you, have made myself get sick-to get rid of that gross feeling!! YUCK! Anyway-hope that this helped you. Janet
