HELPPPP, I'M SICK!!!!

Okay, today was first 3 day of having "solids"...as in stage 2. I have had no problem with mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, and scrambled egg. This morning I had a few bites of boiled egg and then had to leave for my appointment with Dr. H. All day I've had really foamy burps, but, nothing all that serious. When I got home I decided to have some bean with bacon soup. I had 3 bites, that's IT and now I can't stop burp puking. I'm not really puking, just every time I burp I bring up liquid. It doesn't even burn or taste bad like puke does. I have tried laying down, standing up, sitting up, and walking for 30 minutes...nothing is working, though the walk does seem to have calmedthings down a bit. Any advice????

Oh but I dread this phase!!!!  But, at least you get to chew something!  What did Dr. H say today- are you right on target healing?

eggs are one of the denses proteins around right up there with meat i think. to test and see how dense things are you can put it in some water and see how long it takes for it to disolve. Eggs dont!!! just like meat.......

welcome to the world of foamies.  those eggs get a lot of people, they are so dense that it is very hard to digest them. from now on puking is entirely different than it use to be.  you no longer have stomach acids in your stomach so when you puke it doesnt burn, it just comes up. but the down side is that you dont have the stomach acids and when you eat something too heavy especially if you dont chew chew chew, it sits there heavy and wants to come back up. like the egg. dont know why it is seems like all of us want to try that first lol. sorry but it will be ok.  sorry it will get out of there eventually and you will feel better.  walking seems like it helps a lot too.

Well, you live and you learn. At least I'm still learning, I figure if I ever stop that God will be fixing to call my ticket. Not to be gross, but, I wen outside (boys were bathing in one bathroom, hub was killin ants in the other lol) and just kind of forced myself to "let go". I still kind of bloated and full, like, but, 'm at least burping now. I will make a note that next time I want an egg not to have anything else the rest of the day! Hopefully i'll feel human tomorrow, cause I am THIRSTY!!!! I joked to my DH that I might try to get some saline bags and IV lines and keep them in cold storge here for those times when we get dehydrated. We both learned how to run an IV during basic, so, with a little trial and error (hmmm, Mom's dog is back, she'd make an excellent guinea pig ) we ought to be able to solve any dehydration problems we might experience. Oh well, guess I'll go back to mashed potatoes and applesauce tomorrow...maybe save my weigh****chers cheese for the weekend   Thanks for the help Nurse Jan!!!!

HA, I DID read your post. I just don't learn well from the experiences of others. Dad calls me rockhead lol. Luckily, I felt better by bedtime and I feel even better this morning. Think I'll stick to popsicles and water tho until tonight. I'm one of those people Bill Engval says should jus walk around wearing a stupid sign lol.

How do you ge****er in? I barely get my protein drinks in, I get a sip of water at bed time or when I get up, but the rest of the time I am constantly drinking the protein drink, 32 oz a day.

Well, as I posted earlier (you really should read my posts Susy ), I'm a water hog. I told Dr. Hornbostel yesterday about it and how I was concerned about stretching my pouch and HE told ME that I wasn't to worry about it. He said liquids just go righ through anyways and if I could drink more then I should. I haven't been drinking 30 before or after, and i just ip on a shake throughout the day. I also focus more on protein foods...like boiled egg  and peanut butter and stuff. I know I'm going to have to start taking supplements soon, but, for now I'm just testing the waters. I have a high need for water for some reason, if I start to gt dehydrated, I get real sick and woozy.
