Prayer Please. Calcium Question?

Hello Everyone, I know I don't post much and some of you know why.  I have the slowest dial -up about speed of 30 Kbps,  it gets me so frustrated!!! What I want to ask of you is to remember me in prayer.  I am going to see a spine surgeon in St. Louis tomorrow  and see what he says is wrong with my back. I have  had a couple different diagnosis so he will be the first  othopedic doctor.  I was in bed all day yesterday on the heating pad, my back hurt so bad!!  And today was not much better, but I had to go to Farmington and get  my MRI films to take with me so I am in pain now as pretty much I always am. I pray he will give me some pain pills my pcp will only give me Darvon 65mg PRN and Flexeril 1 tab at bedtime and that ain't helping! Another thing I wanted to ask is, where can I get the chewable calcium or the chocolate calcium chews that is calcium citrate and not calcium carbonate.  I have been taking the Equate Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D but when  I read Traci K's post on the pills should disolve in water in a couple minutes  I tried it and they didn't disolve in 15 minutes time. So that's is why I'm asking and also they are going to have to be reasonably priced. And one more thing, since you'll have set the date for the Sedalia get  together on a Sunday I will not be able to go. Sunday is the Lord's day and I won't miss church  to do something pleasurable for me. I will surely miss seeing everyone. Thank you all Brenda

Brenda the only reason it is on sunday is that is when Dr. H support meeting is and if we go to that we dont have to go to an office visit. I dont like that it is on Sunday either but nothing i can do about that.  Will be praying that the orthopedic surgeon can find out what to do with your back and what is wrong with it.  The chewable Calcium aare no longer being made. sorry ....

Brenda - I'm sorry you're in so much pain!! I'll be praying.

Go to vitalady.com She has different brands of calcium (all of it in forms that are good for us) and does carry the Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium and also UpCal-D, which is a calcium powder you can add to literally anything - water, juice, coffee, tea, etc..... She will have something you can use.

Dear Brenda, I hope and pray that they will FINALLY find out what is wrong AND give you something that works for the pain. Its amazing the difference in my quality of life now that I am not in that constant unbearable pain-like your living with right now. I am going to wait for a couple of months for my back surgery now that I am on a regimen that works for me and I can get some of the other, smaller things taken care of first.  I sure pray for you. I miss you-and I pray that Gods hands will be all over this situation and know that the surgeon will help you. Please keep us posted. All my love-Janet

Brenda- this is the 'other' Brenda...ha!

As a person who has faced many many serious health issues I can tell you that your attitude is right on.  People used to ask me how I was so strong going through it all.  I told them I was not strong...I was leaning on the Lord with everything I had!  It sure got me through it all and I will be forever grateful to my Father for His healing touch.  The Lord sure gave us both good testimonies for others facing medical issues.

I saw calcium chews at Wal Mart the other day, but I didn't go over and see what sort they were....I'll have to do that next time I go.

I do hope your doctor finds the right pain relief for you.  God made Doctors too..... thank goodness!!! ha!
