I was just wondering when does the Dr. office submit the paperwork to Medicare asking for the go ahead on the surgery? Is it after the first visit? I know they dont know if they are even going to take you until the first visit. I didnt know if it is between the 2nd and 3rd or when? I am on Medicare and not exactly sure if they will approve me? But, I am hoping !!~Lo

Medicare doesn't require pre approval, they just have a list of things that has to be done, which the dr. office makes sure is completed before they give you a surgery date. There is no waiting for medicare, that was a plus, it goes through pretty quickly once all your prerequisites are done, I think the biggest hurdle was the phych. consult, they ask for a very specific test, after that it goes quick, good luck.
