perfect protein powder 2oz. every 30 min!!!
Hi guy's, I just wanted to tell you I found the best protein powder at gnc!!! I bought the nectar stuff, and before surgery it was o.k, now I can't stand to even smell it, I spent 100.00 for 4 big cannisters, my hubby is a little ....
grrrr... not really so bad (i just wanted to use that emoticom lol) anyhow, I got maximum protein in choc, vanilla, and strawberry. I know it doesn't have quite as much protein as the nectar 22g. per scoop vs 23g for the nectar, also there is 1g of sugar, but I think the scoops are smaller than the nectars...the difference is huge in taste!! for me the nectar was only going to be good if i actually drank it, I think this is the first time in over a week that i'm getting any protein. it just tastes sooo good not at all powdery and no weird after taste. BTW dr hornbostel patients, on stage 2 after surgery, it was NOT a typo, on the sheet that say's 2 oz. every 30 min, I asked him specific about it, he said no, you go from 1oz, every 15 min. to 2 oz. every 30 min. if anyone is interested in knowing more about let me know.

I am not sure if it's gnc brand it say's energienutrition. it isa 5 lb plastic container called maximum protein. I am not sure if you can have this if your on the pre op liquid diet, but it does have alot of vit and such, if you buy 2 at 59.99 you get the 3rd free, ouch I know, but for me it is worth it, I am finally able to get some much neede protein!
Hey how are you doing. I am going through Doctor Hornbostel also and would love to know all that you know. I weigh 262 and at 5ft, 6 I have a high BMI. how long will I abe on the liquid diet you think? I donot even have a surgery date yet. Did Dr. Hornbostel do your EGD? Did you have another doctor do it and send the results to him. If that is the case I will have a doctor here in KC do it and send him the results. Help please.

Hey there, I am doing much better 10 day's out , finally feeling mostly normal. Dr hornbostel requires everyone to go on a 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery. It is not a matter of the bmi, but to shrink the fat from your liver and make your operation easier and safer. The liquid diet consists of 5 protein shakes a day , he is specific on which ones. diet jello, any no calorie liquid . If you space out your shakes every 3 hr.s or so , you don't get toooo hungry! I preferred the slimfast low carb, it has the most protein and tastes alright. If you have any questions feel free to pick my brain, good luck, susan p.s I invied you to my friends list
