Update Of Where I Am At W/ WLS

Thanks everyone for your responses! Yes, I already went to a seminar. I am going for my 3rd out of 6 dr. appts with my pcp in May., I already had the Psych Eval and I am currently waiting for her to fax the results, I saw the nutrionist Friday and this coming Friday I will be having my sleep study. I am so excited that all this is happening so fast. I understand Dr. Hornbostel is a VERY busy man, so I know it might not be as fast since I am sure Summer and spring is a busy time of year for him. Which is fine, although I would love to have it asap, Xmas time is good too! I really appreciate all the reponses on here and love being here. Still figuring out my way around, so be patient. :) I dont spend alot of time on here, but I try to make a visit a couple times a day! :) I cant wait to be on the losers bench with you guys! Why dont you come to the support meeting on the 28at 6:30 in springfield at the Library on Campbel? we would love to meet you and you would be suprised at all the info you can get from all of us. 

Depending on your insurance and their requirements and their speed, you could be having surgery in the summer.  My insurance didn't have any real time consuming procedures, so I will be having surgery about 10 weeks out from requesting it with my family dr.  I could have it sooner, (may 6th) but I'll still be in school then.  I asked them for the 16th of May, and that is when I'm having it.  So... the point of this is, if your insurance approves everything quickly, and you get everything that Margie askes for and get it to their office quickly, then you  could have your surgery in 2-4 months right now.  I had my consult on March 19th, and they were going to do my surgery on May 6th... so, I hope that is reassuring for you.  Best wishes!

Thanks for the input! I have medicare and I did put a pic up and I just found out I WILL be at the support group this month and I am sooo excited! ~Lo
