Does anyone here know if Dr. Hornbostel gives out the cards that say you're a WLS Survivor (lol)??? I have heard of other docs in the Springfield area doing this. I've been told that you can't order off the kid's menu or share a plate unless you show one of those cards.

Just remember business's dont have to honor them though --- it's more of a courtesy thing. Whenever I eat out I never order off the kids menu. The food is really fattening and much higher in carbs ---- chicken fingers, hot dogs etc --- there is nothing on a kids menu that any surgery patient should be eating post op. You'll do better eating off the regular menu where there is a wider healthier variety and taking your leftovers home for another meal. Best of LUck.
