Support group in Joplin?

I am looking for someone who is in the Joplin, Mo area and would like to carpool to Springfield, Mo. I had someone who I thought we were going to do this, but I cant remember her name or screen name? Also, if anyone knows if there is a support group in Joplin that would be even better. I saw it @ one time on here, but couldnt ever find it? Also, I am looking for friends that would like to keep in touch alot! I am a good friend and love to chat :) ~*~*Lo~*~*

check with Janet  to see if she would like to ride with you to the Springfield meeting.. They say there is meetings in Joplin but no one can find the person.  Hope this helps.

Is that your name? Im sorry if its not! (LOL).. Let me introduce myself-My name is Janet. Im 1 1/2 yrs out. I have lost 250# and I live in Diamond, MO.....I am married and I have 4 children. I have talked about starting a support group in this area since I was pre-op but health issues have kept me busy and kept me from being able to do that. I have been told that there is a group in Joplin already, however-she has no information on her profile, and its suppose to be the 1st Monday of the month, and the one time I went-there was no group-and no one knew what I was talking about-I was told by OH staff, but there was nobody there-so your guess is as good as mine. Anyhow-I believe the person you talked to about riding to the group in Springfield was MeMe214. I call her Mel, and when I get to attend, I have ridden with her. Sometimes others go with us too- I know that I saw her post to you and that she offered. Now that my back issue is a little better-I am going this month-as long as the flooding doesnt keep me stranded here! Anyway-its good to meet you-please feel free to message me. I too, like to chat-and let me tell you-even if there is a group started in Joplin, I would still attend the COF in Springfield because I have NEVER met a more caring, inspirational and loving group of people than I have there-and I consider ALL of them to be my extended family!! I really hope you get the opportunity to go-you wont regret it, thats for sure. Its also nice for a few of us to carpool, with the price of gas the way it is-its nice to split the gas cost.
