surgery tommorow!!

Susan, I'm so proud for you that your waiting is all but over. I have 22 more days to get through until my surgery. You have done so well, I just pray that your surgery goes great and your recovery fast! Girl you STOLE that bike, I have one and I paid boo-coo bucks for it a few years back. It kicks my butt when I try to ride it. The arm action really gives you a work out! Because I get short of breath riding, the fan really helps me move air easier. Plus, I think the arms moving helps you loose around your waistline. Maybe I should bring mine up from the basement and put in it front of the living room TV.....Hubby might join me riding it if it was in his way! hahahaha
I can certainly understand you eating your last meal, I'd think you are not the first to do this... I never order BBQ ribs, Randy always orders those...but since I'm all liquid, that is the food I'd darn near sell my Momma for!!!! Seems I am just craving that particular food - I wonder why.... I'd be better off if I cheated to eat some tuna or something like that- but for some reason, ribs are on my mind- Did you crave things you rarely ate????
It is 3½ hours to Sedalia from Harrison where I live, so the night before surgery we are staying in a hotel, probly the Comfort Inn. We stayed there before my scope and it is pretty nice.
I ordered PJ's that I can walk the halls in, and got some loose knit pants at WM on clearance and some long tee-shirts. I usually wear gowns, but in the hospital I like to be able to get up and down and not have to use a house-coat. If I need one, I'll just use a hospital gown. Need to figure out some sort of slippers too- there is a lot to think of when going to the hospital isn't there? I have a walker on wheels and I'm taking that so I can lay my portable oxygen on the seat part, and lean on the walker when I walk. Plus if I can't make it back to the room, I'll have a place to sit and rest a minute.
Hope I've helped you pass some time reading this...ha!
My prayers will be with you- please let us know you are ok after surgery!
Brenda
Best of luck tomorrow! Reading your post reminded me of how I felt those few days before surgery. Don't worry - you will eat "normally" again. It is just that normal for you will be a lot less than you are used to now. Believe me at one year out it is a great feeling to sit down to a meal with small portions of food on my plate and enjoy it slowly and be full! I look at other's plates and think - how did I ever eat that much ;) You are in my prayers that your surgery will go smoothly and with no complications! God Bless!
