Missouri Medicaid

I am looking for anyone who has Missouri Medicaid that has had gastric bypass.  I am attending a seminar Saturday for the surgery and would love to talk to someone who has been through it.  Please Help!!

there are several on here that have use medicaide to pay for their surgery but i cant tell you who. I think , and im not sure about this either , that the Center in Columbia is the one for Medicaide use.  Hopefully someone will talk to you soon. Any way welcome to the board, Hope you arent really that Angry !! LOL

Hi there, I had Medicaid when I had the surgery in November 2006. I know some things have changed since then, but I also know of 3 others who had medicaid-all of us went to MO Bariatrics in Columbia. I attended the springfield seminar and had Dr. Fearing. She is AWESOME....Anyway-I had medicaid for persons who have a disability and my spend down was over 2500.00 per month and I had 4 months of meeting that before medicaid kicked in and paid.  Anyway-anything I can do to help-or answer any questions-shoot. Thanks, I've heard that some insurances make you try Weigh****chers type weight loss centers, I didn't know if Medicaid did that or not.  Also, what all kinds of testing did they do?  I am so scarred that I will mess something up (not answer their questions right or something).  Was it 4 months from the time of your seminar to the surgery?  How many times did you have to go to Columbia before your surgery?  Sorry so many questions, I've got so many.          Angy
