2 months post-op update
I am two months post-op today. First the good stuff. I have loss 63# and 27 and a half inches.Seven more pounds and I will never see the 300's again!!!
And now the not so good. I have been feeling very bad for a couple of weeks. No energy, getting sick, having black outs, and feeling dizzy. i went to my PCP today and she believes that I am getting dehydrated. I know I am not getting enough water. She wants me to have at least four bottles of water a day and at least two protien shakes. I haven't been doing either one.And she says I am taking my vitamins wrong. She says you can't take the iron at the same time as the calcium or the iron won't be absorbed. So she did a bunch of blood work on me. They took 11 tubes of blood. So we will see what that brings.
I have also been having alot of pain in my right hip. It started last Friday. So she had me go to the hospital and have lower back and hip x-rays. She thinks it is a pinched syatic(sp) nerve in my hip. All I know is it is painful!! So we will see what the x-rays say.
As of today I am on regular menu. Yeah!!! Looking forward to some fresh fruits and vegtables. And maybe some meat. So far I haven't found anything my pouch doesn't like. But I can't decide if that's good or bad. LOL
Over all things are going ok. I will post my two month pictures either tonite or in the morning.Take Care all and God Bless. Tammy V.

Tammy you know better than not get in your water or your protein. There are too many different types out there to not be able to find one that you like and get them in daily at least two you should have three . but if you do just two you will be better off. Sounds like you have a great PCP that knows her business. even to knowing that your iron and calcium dont go together.
Hope you get yourself on track or im afraid you could wind up sicker than you ever dreamed possible. Get with it girl. Maybe we need to all come see you lol
God Bless you girl .

Cindy hey im the turtle here not you lol...i have only lost 83 lbs in a lil over 5 months and like you it seems like im the slowest loser here but at same time im ok with it cos at least im losing and its NOT like im on a strict diet like be4...its easier to lose now with this tool....even us turtles have a chance to win this race lol hang in there we will get there.....

Shiela.. I have lost 36.5 in two months, much slower than Renee, Tammy and the others who had surgery the same time I did and all have lost 56, 63, 72 in the same 2 months.Thats what I meant. Now, however, what I keep thinking about is that I will lose 80 or 90 but it might take a year, not 5 months. Do you remember how much you lost the first 2 months? So see, you aren't the slowest loser here, but it might be because I had the sleeve and not RNY.. I think the loss is slower, but they said you tend to catch up later on out, and sometimes lose longer.. we will see.
