I was so happy this morning when I stepped on the scales, I have lost 72 pounds in a little over 2 months and a total of 65 inches!!!!  I went from 352 pounds down to 280.  I was never so happy to be out of the 300's and now I can't wait to be out of the 200's!!!! I went bicycle shopping this weekend because I used to love riding a bike but wouldn't ride one at my weight of over 300 pounds because I was afraid that people would make fun of me.  Today I found my perfect bike and even though it's very expensive ($450 but it's a Trek bike!) I am going to buy it cause it is my reward for all the hard work I have gone through and I deserve it!!! I can't give myself a food reward so to me this is perfect.....  I know that this surgery is not a cure all and doesn't come without it's down falls but when you see the scales move downward and your clothes getting big it seems to make it all worth going through all the bad stuff. Congrats, Bev!! I'm so proud of you!  See, it did get better!  I can just tell by the sound of your email that you are doing great!  Congrats on the new bike too.  You have inspired me to get my bike out of the garage (as soon as it warms up some) and start riding again!  I know my youngest son Jake will be more than happy to ride bikes with me.  Who knows maybe I can get my husband and my oldest to go with me too?  We all bought family bikes a few years ago and used to go all the time.  I have a Giant Bike that is silver and teal green.  It looks like a really old fashioned bike and is soooo cool.  I put a wire basket on the front of it.  I put my little poodle Precious in it with a baby blanket and hooked by a harness and a leash and off we go.  She loves it too!  I don't think my poodle puppy, Roxie, will be going.  She's a scaredy cat and would be too afraid.  We will see. We have to get back to water aerobics!  I had just gotten over have bronchotis (sp?) then came down with this horrible stomach flu.  Have had it for the past 3 days.  So maybe if the I am better next week and the weather is warmer we can go?  Would love to see you, I bet you don't look the same since I saw you last!  I'm glad to see you're taking your measurements.  How about pictures?  Are you taking monthly pictures?  You'll be amazed at the difference. Mama Jan is right, you need to get all your water and protein shakes in as well as your vitamins!  This is a lifetime commitment we made! Once again, congrats!!  Hope to talk to you soon. Debbie D.
