Jan, Isn't it hard to see our kids go throug htese serious things....  But, that is how they learn to cope.  Sure would be nice if we could spare them them pain though.  I do hope your son still goes on his mission trip, maybe it will be good for him if he will get away and reflect on things.  Loosing a friend is never easy, no matter how it happens.   I remember 17 being a hard age, too old for somethings, too young for other things. It is just not easy on us Mothers to watch our little boys become men is it?

You have my prayers,

Brenda

Yesterday was great!  I did indeed stay in my PJ's all day, as did my husband and son LOL.  We got a lot of house work done, played some games and just had a nice day.  I finished up a cause and effect rough draft for my english class... I did it on emotional eating.  I didn't have to use outside sources! lol   School was uneventful today.  I'm at home now, getting ready to start an outline for my public speaking class.  I have an informative speech outline due tomorrow and I"ve had a very hard time deciding what to speak about.  It hit me today... WLS!  Heck, I've only read 4 books, and spent countless hours on the internet researching it.  Why waste that time when I can put it to good use?! Mel,... I sort of understand your situation with you FIL.  My aunt keeps my grandmother, who has alzheismers (sp?) and there can be some bad blood between siblings when it comes to things like that.  It's too bad.  I'm sorry you guys are having to deal with that.  I'm sure it'll work out for the best though. Debbie... your son must be meant for something amazing!  I know he's going through some hard stuff right now, but to have such a fierce battle being waged for him, he must have awesome plans waiting ahead for him.  I'm sorry for you loss, but I'm thankful for what your son is about to do! Nancy... I had lunch at The End Zone today with a friend from school.  I saw your office and was really hoping you weren't looking out the window thinking, "OMG!  That psycho is stalking me!" LOL Well, ppl, have a great rest of the day!  Here's to WLS speechs and math homework!  Hope you're all staying dry!

Good news here - my diagnosis is just the peroneal nerve problem.  Thank the Lord!  Prayers were answered!  I am scheduled for surgery April 11th for the Bilateral Peroneal Nerve Decompression.  Going to get them both done at the same time.  Have chosen to have it here at Northeast Regional Medical center instead of Columbia.  I really trust Dr. Browning. Getting prepared for the storms predicted for tonight with the hail and 50 mile an hour winds. Thank you all for the prayers! Shannon
