Looking For Support Group In Joplin, Mo

Hi everyone, I am new to this site and I am preparing for the Gastric Bypass. I am looking for a support group in the Joplin area. If anyone knows of any, I would greatly appreciate the feed back. Also, if there is anyone in my area that is looking into the surgery or planning on having it or has had it, I am very interested in chatting. Thanks!~ Lori

There is suppose to be a support group there in Joplin but no one can find it.  Most of the people there come to the meeting once a month in Springfield. go back and look at post on monday the 17th at Glennas post . it gives the date and time and address where at.  I see you are going to Dr. Hornbostel? he is the best you can find.  Would love for you to come to the meeting this coming monday and meeting lots of people that have had surgery and some that havent .  Welcome to the board you can get lots of good answers here too. 

Hi Lori, I'm pretty new on this forum too.  My surgery date with Dr. H is April 28th.  I live in Harrison, AR and there are no meetings here either.  I am going to Springfield meetings and like them.  Hope to see you there!

Hellooooo from Carthage! there has been some talk of starting a group around here and supposadly there is a Missouri OH group but the lady who is listed as leader has never posted any info here or on her profile sooooo since I had my surgery in Arkansas I usually attend group in Rogers...but they are changing locations and as I have no clue as to where I will be without a group.... LOVE to attend the Circle of friends group in Springfield but I dont drive Springfield. I offer a ride to anyone who would like to go and could get me to where I need to be without getting lost. plenty of room in the minivan. I work till 3:30pm so let me know asap via pm with phone number and Ill call ya! support is VERY important no matter which procedure you have done! nutti

 

Hey, I just wanted to let everybody in SW Missouri and NW arkansas that there is finally a bariatric surgeon in NWA doing all 3 weight loss procedures - lap band, lap Gastric bypass, and the laparoscopoic sleeve gastretomy.  Dr. Josh Roller, is in Springdale, AR, and his support group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month, at his clinic, the Roller Weight Loss Institute, 601 W. Hello everyone!!! My computer is in the shop, so I am having to use the computer at the local library and there is a time limit and they are slooooooooooooow, so this will be short. I was told in a message from a fellow message board user that there is a meeting with DR. ROller out of springdale and it is at the Holiday Inn. I will probably be going although, I doubt I will give up dr hornbostel. Hope everyone is doing well. And stay healthy! ~Lori
