I have a question, I read on another board that we should have a medical alert bracelet indicating that we had gastric bypass because in an emergency we are not to have a NG tube without a scope or certain drugs?   Do any of you guys have a med. alert bracelet? Thanks, Bev

Hi Bev, I have a bracelet and I know Tammy does. Mine says  "RNY gastric bypass tube w endoscope" then I have my allergies. I couldn't imagine being in a wreck or something and the er not knowing and shoving a tube into my stomach, so I opted for a bracelet. Connie

Bev,
I don't have a bracelet but Tami B does and someone else who was at COF last month - maybe Connie. I just typed out a tiny label and stuck it on my keys on a cheapo medical alert key chain thing. There's some controversy about whether in an emergency situation an EMT would heed the warning - I've seen both ways on the main board. Good to see you posting a little. I don't post much but try to read.
Hugs,
Lana
