Help with pictures

I am trying to download some pictures on my profile.But it keeps saying that they have to be jpg,gif or png files not bmp. What do I do to fix this? I am not very computer smart. Thanks, Tammy

Do you have a graphics program on your computer?   Even MS Paint (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint) that comes on a PC would work.  Just open the image in that program... click File at the top then click Open and find the image on your computer (where you have it saved on your computer).   Then go up and click File again, then click Save As, then you need to choose to save the image with the file extension of .jpg (best for photos).  That's it.  It's now saved as a .jpg.
