Support group question

Does anyone know of a support group in Columbia that you can attend, even if your not a patient from Columbia? I saw a listing but under it, it said you had to be a patient? I am having surgery on monday in Sedalia, but I want to find a group here in Columbia. 

Hi Nikki, I had my surgery in St. Louis. I go went to the support group this Monday @ Regional Hospital and everyone welcomed me with open arms. It is a small group and the discussions where very helpful. You can get their schedule @ http://www.muhealth.org/weightlosssurgery/supportgroups.shtm l.

There is also a support group that meets on the 2nd Monday night of each month in Higginsville. I do not have the information on the place, however if you want more information I can pass this on to a couple of the people that I know that attend that meeting. Thanks, Thelma
