I'd email Marge about peanut butter --- it wasnt on any of the handouts I got from Dr. H's office regarding puree's. You're only on the second stage of your diet --- the main issue beside the sugar content is the texture..... the peanut butter could get stuck? I'm a little further out than you and I dont yet feel comfortable about trying it and I'm a lover of peanut butter :)
Good Luck.

Tammy,
I just got off of stage 2 and Margie did tell me at that time I could have peanut butter cause I was getting really bored with what I could have that was in the binder. I tried low sugar peanut butter and also all natural with no sugar and both times I dumped. I think it was due to the fact that it's sticky and kind of thick and didn't go down well. I eat it really slow and just a little at a time and I still dumped so be careful with that.
Try egg salad or pureed chicken salad that's different and use lite mayo I did fine on that and it was a good change. There is so much things that aren't in that stupid binder they give you that you can have. That binder sucks it doesn't tell you everything you need to know and in some area's its confussing.
I am now on stage 3 which isn't much better but I have been trying things and mostly have done fine with what I have tried.
Could be you're dumping on the fat in the peanut butter. Even though it's a good fat, or rather a better fat for us than say, a fried food, it's still fat and at this stage, your body just isn't going to do well with anything with that much fat.
I'm almost 4 years out and today got the foamies and couldn't eat a simple chicken salad sandwich. I have eaten the same thing many times before - but today, my picky pouch said no.
No clue why. My pouch seems to have a love-hate relationship with chicken. Sometimes I can eat it fine, sometimes not at all.
All that to say, don't give up entirely on peanut butter. You may not be able to eat it now - but you might in another week, month or few months from now. Could be you may never be able to tolerate straight peanut butter like that, but could handle it in something like peanut butter protein bars or something like that.
I never really had buyers remorse with my surgery: but it has taken a bit of getting used to in figuring out what I can and can not eat; and as I posted above, that seems to change depending on the "mood" of my pouch that day. I call her "Picky Penny", as in a 'penny for your thoughts', because she definitely has a mind of her own!
What everyone has said is true: it definitely gets easier. You do adjust. I promise.
