? for a Dr. Hornbostel patient

I am wondering if Bothwell will allow me to have someone spend the night with me in the hospital, I have a Best friend of 14 years and I have always been there for her during her battle of Lymphoma and she wants to be there for me during this. So someone please let me know if they allow sleep over guests. Thanks and I really dont have any friends on here I am in need of some.

Everyone at Bothwell Hospital are very nice. They will let your friend stay. They even brought my husband a blanket and pillow and offered him coffee or something to drink.And gave him coupons for a free breakfast while I was in surgery. They also brought my mom a cup of coffee. You shouldn't have any problems with her staying. Take Care and Good luck,Tammy V.

yes they let someone stay with you, my husband stayed with me they were really nice to him....congrats on your surgery....vesta

Nikki you wont find a better staff than the ones at Bothwell, they treat you so very good , the rooms are small and only have the one chair in there , I wouldnt let my hubby stay all night because he has such a bad back but he could have if I would have let him.

I agree with Jan.  The rooms are kinda small, and there is a recliner in the room if hubby can handle it.  The staff at Bothwell was awesome, and as for Dr. Hornbostel, well, he's one wing feather away from a saint! Patty

I just got out of Bothwell 3 weeks ago and my best friend went with me.  The first time she tried to sleep in the recliner and couldn't they don't recline that much and are hard she ended up having to go to a hotel.  I had to go back in 4 days later due to complications (infection they refused to tell me I had which I had when I left the first time).... The second time I went in she went to Walmart and got a twin air mattress and was so glad she did.   The hospital is old and the rooms are very tiny and the bathrooms are so much worse.  They are not obese friendly to say the least.  The hospital staff was not that great either.  My friend about knocked herself out as she bent down to plug something up and when she raised up she hit her head/nose on the computer on the wall and I called a nurse in there and they laughed about it but it was not funny she could have really hurt herself you would have thought that them being nurses they would have a little more compassion for her.   I did not like that hospital or anything about it.  I hope you have a better experience there and with your dr.
