Dear Missouri Friends,
I have been home now since January 15, the longest stretch since my surgery on August 20.
My fistular is still on me, of course, but I and my wife Lori have discovered a better system than the hospital had for me. My tummy around the hole is healing quickly and my surgeon, Dr. Kraatz, head of the Burn & Wound ICU/Dept. at the University of Missouri Medical Center will evaluate me for surgery in April to fix this pesky critter.
In the meantime I'm NPO, nothing by mouth. I get my nutrition by feeding tube, medicines, water, everything by way of the tube. A boring but necessary thing.
Your continued thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.
Love and Friendship,
BobM.
Bob i was so thankful to God when i saw you on the board this morning. Great news that you are able to get on here. You are still in my prayers . At least have you lost weight during this trying trial?
I know the feeding tube has to be a pain but know that hopefully the next surgery will fix this. Much love and prayers are with you and your wonderful wife Lori..You are so lucky to have her.
