Met a long time bander
I went to donate platletts at the Red Cross, (I donate, don't get paid!), anyway, I have went there for several years and know the staff. The staff knows that I had weight loss surgery as I took off from donating for about 6 months and have just recently returned. One of the staff members finally told me they had the band done around 6 to 10 years ago. I can't remember exactly how long. She did it in Mexico and couldn't be happier. Another one had RNY and also looks good. I told them about the Circle of Friends group and they both are interested in going as they have not been in a support group and want to go. I also told them to come here and chat with us. I cant go to the support group yet due to training but I hope they go.
Anyway, just had to share as I have not ever met a bander with as much time as her. It was nice to see. Most you talk to are just a year or two out. So, we KNOW it can be done and maintained for a legnthy time!
