Surg. 12-17-07 ... 61 lbs gone already!

As of today I’m down 61 pounds!!!
Started at 348 lbs now at 287 lbs. I had an appointment with my GYNO doc this afternoon --- he was going over my records from my last visit (I weighed in at 356 lbs last February...YIKES) and he suddenly realized how much weight I've lost. He actually said to me “DAMN GIRL -- WAY TO GO!” --- I never thought Id hear a doctor talk like that !!! He’s excitement was well appreciated and highly motivating. Usually I’m getting lectures from my doctors about losing weight -- now finally it’s changing --- it feels great! .

Hey Amanda, Long time no see.  How are you doing?  Sounds like you are doing pretty good.  I am doing great.  I feel great.  I was 253 day of surgery, today I weigh  33.  I am very happy.  I was having a lot of pain last week but it finally started going away.  I didn't call the dr because I was afraid of being put in the hospital at that time.  My son was already hospitalized then.  He would not have been discharged if I was not able to sign him out.  He is bipolar so hospitlization is common for him.
