Monthly B12 shots

I take a 1000 mcg B12 shot montly.  I feel great afterwards.  But at about the middle of the month I get really tired.  I have a call into the Doctor but wanted to know if anyone else takes a second shot during the month?  Or if you know if there is anything wrong with taking a second shot?

Peace in all you do,
Bel

Yes, a couple months ago I started doing two shots per month.  It works much better for me.   Many post-ops even do weekly B12 shots.

Do all post-ops need B12 shots?

All post-ops (except Labpand) absolutely need to supplement B12, as we no longer absorb any B12 at all from food.  Some seem to do okay with B12 sublingals; but it seems that most end up going to B12 shots to keep their levels up where they ideally should be.

Dr Suttmoeller or my other dr told me that the sublinguial B12 works better than the  injections as you keep your levels up by taking it twice a week.

Well I'm not sure that's true for everyone.  I started out taking sublinguals every single day and they just didn't work for me and I had to switch to injections and now two injections monthly.   I can see a combination of injections and sublinguals possibly working for those where straight subs weren't; and for those who don't necessarily want to go to more injections.  Two B12 shots per month seems to be doing well for me, at this point.  It's quick and easy and honestly, I'd rather do that than take yet another pill of any sort.
