A Scare
Hello everyone. I had a big scare yesterday...I was sitting at the computer and all of a sudden my neck started hurting really bad, Bad enough to almost make me cry...I thought it might just needed cleaned and the bandages changed so I went to the bathroom, took off the dressing and in the stetches area. it was swollen up like a nerf football...I drove up to the Dr. Office and luckly they were there...He thought it might be a Hemotobia (feeling up with blood)...they called my Dr. in Columbia and they said for me to get there as soon as I could..I drove to Macon to pick up my sister to drive me there...We got there and they found out it was an air leak....Air was trapped from my trach area stoma that was not all the way healed yet...They inserted a big needle and drew out the air....I now have a big plaster taping on my neck to support it as pressure until i can get the stitches out on the 17th....Praise God it wasnt nothing serious....God Bless........Craig Lee

I can only imagine how scarey that was! Praise the Lord it wasn't anything serious and they were able to treat it!
Congrats on your weight loss and how far you've come since surgery. I've never met you but I feel like I know you thru your posts. Please keep us posted when you get the stitches out.

Wow what a day huh! I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to let you know that I do check this board ever so often and you have been doing great. You have come so far, I am so proud of you and staying strong. I am so glad your getting along very well and it wasn't life threatening.
You take care of yourself and keep us posted and you are in my thought and wish you nothing but the best.
