Surgery is getting close....

If you all remember I had my surgery postponed in October and it was rescheduled for January 29, so I am dangerously close to the dreaded liquid again :)  I did it for 10 days then and sure do remember how that felt.  They told me to start on the 16th, so not much longer..    I was really really nervous last time as it got close and hope I don't feel as nervous this time around.  I was scared more because I had a previous clot, but now they are placing a greenfield filter right before surgery, so I feel better on that issue.. I would greatly appreciate prayers at 8 am that morning.  Tammy is my angel, and a sweetheart..   I want to thank those of you who have helped me last fall, and I am glad I have a new computer and can post again regularly..   Everyone her has been so supportive and great to answer questions and I say thank you for that.   I look forward to seeing the word FEBRUARY on the calendar, knowing the worst is over and my new life is just beginning..  I am making 2008 my year to put me first. I have never done that in my life.  There are so many times I wish i had done this when i was younger, but hey, 42 isn't extinct...  I still have some years to kick around :)   I also can't wait to come to the support group in Springfield with Tammy to meet so many of you ...    Well, i guess thats it for now, just wanted to update everyone..  and also, I changed the surgery from RNY to the gastric sleeve..  So, here's to a better, healthier life..

Cindy, Congrats for making it this far and sticking with it and not giving up.  I am on day 8 (tomorrow) of my liquid diet I have 7 more days left of this dreaded phase.  It's rough but guess it's part of the process.  My surgery is Jan. 21st so your not far behind me.  Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Cindy... I know you will do fine with all of this....And don't sweat the liquid diet...Go ahead and get started on it and dont wait till the last second to start...Then you can start at it slowly and do your a few shakes thru the day and have a small lite meal in the evenings. This will get your stomach use to having less a little easier. And you wont have to make it deal with it all at once.  Remember call me any time!!!! If you feel things getting tough or start having doughts, just pick up the phone and call!!! Got ya in my prayers....Hang in there...You are on your way to a wonderful new life!!!!
