WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Well i can figure out some stuff will just have to be satisfied with telling you all what we did today , we went out to the beautiful Little River Falls. they are in the Little River Canyon which is the deepest canyon in the East.  Also went to Rock City, where some sceans from the movie (Failure to Launch) was filmed. That is just beautiful , all these huge rock formations so big and sturdy like statues set up to guard a valley.  I have got some great pictures too.  Tomorrow we are leaving early to go to Ga. to visit my friend down there. She is the computer geek so maybe she can tell me something i can do so you all can see my pictures  Love you all very much and miss each and everyone of you Take care and will be with you soon again.  Jan

I would have loved for my angels to have lived closer to me...I had wonderful angels and would love to get to see them more often....I will get you the other info we talked about...You will be in my prayers! Remember call me anytime you need too....Let me help you hang in there this time...I just know you will be thrilled at the changes you will have in your life as you loose weight! Talk to ya soon... Haven't been doing the prayer post in awhile now.. But for some reason it's on my mind tonight so I will just add it to this post... Please pray for Mel's mother and the family.... Please pray for Janet and the things going on with her family.  Please pray for the little boy mentioned in the last post that got hit and killed by the car...I know his family could use some comfort at this time! Please pray Jan and Joe have a safe vacation as they will be traveling alot. Pray for my angel...Cindy H....She will be having the VGS Jan 28th....This is a rescheduled surgery date due to nervousness. So lets pray she find the confidence she needs to go thru with it. Please remember others that are about to have surgery soon and those who have recently had surgery and are still recovering... Friends...If you do not have an angel and would like to have one....Post it so everyone will know you are interested.....It is so much better to have someone you can go to that has been thru it already...I promise that will be questions thru your journey and you will feel alot better if you have someone to give a call and chat about it. Morning everyone Jan - can't wait to see your pictures.  I always pray in general for everyone on the board, those who post, and those who I know are lurking; and of course for those specific requests that are posted.   But an organized thread for this would be awesome.  I have one sick child, whom I suspect has strep; and another child having surgery tomorrow to have her tonsils and adenoids removed because she keeps getting strep.    Let's just say - I'm over it!  I'm going to have to run the one to the doctor this morning to confirm the strep and get her on meds then back home to get things ready for the surgery tomorrow.  Busy - busy!! Have a great day everyone. 

hello Jan and all  well i survived the tornado but ended up having to move all week cos some body was messing with my car and house AGAIN while i slept.. so now im out at kids and have internet again.... hope ur having a BLAST on ur vacation Jan!!! miss u all

Hi everyone, Tracy, I hope you all get well soon. Try not to get too frazzeled.  I needed to get in to my doctor today for a million reasons and he is out on vacation. I hate seeing anyone else, so I am going to wait until next week.  Did anyone else get the chike samples? They are half size so I mixed the strawberry and banana. Not too shabby.

Good Morning, Jan and Missouri Peeps! I hope everyone has a good Monday and a GREAT week!  I will be praying for all of you and for those of you who have upcoming surgeries.   Jan, I'm glad you are enjoying our vacation so far and I know you're going to enjoy fun in the sun (wish Joe ) on your cruise.  I'll be praying for your safety as well as your relaxation!   Traci...I know how it goes with kids that have strep all the time.  My youngest (who turns 13 TODAY) had strep all the time while he was a toddler.  I finally took him to an ENT who said my son a continous infection and need his tonsills removed.  He was 5 years old at the time and has not had one case of strep since then!!  I will be praying for your child's surgery as well as for you! I'm sorry if I don't address everyone's posts, but please know I do read them daily and I do pray for all of you.  You are all my extended family and I love each and every one of you! Well, like I said earlier, today is my youngest son, Jake's 13th Birthday.  I told him what I told his 17 year old brother when he turned 13th....The next few years can be relatively pleasant ones or they can be extremely hard ones and A LOT OF IT depends on YOU!!    Anyways, he asked for Hot wings and fries for his birthday dinner.  I will be BAKING them of course!  I have also ordered him a cake from DQ, have to pick that up before his basketball game tonight.  At least the game is here in town today. Jakes has at least 2 and sometimes 3 games a week for the next 8 weeks.  Plus the days he doesn't have games, I have to take him to basketball practice at 6am!  I will say he has his alarm set for 5am and he gets up, takes a shower, makes himself breakfast and gets ready.  He then come and makes sure I'm up and ready to take him to practice.  Not bad for a 12 year old....oops I mean 13 year old!  lol You all take care and as always I look forward to reading your posts, Debbie D. 

Good afternoon OH family... Well I made it through my first week of the liquid diet phase it was really hard but am happy that I have lost 11 lbs last week putting my BMI now under 60.  I hope to lose more this week and make the BMI even lower that would be great. My surgery is one week from today boy is that unbelieveable.  It has taken me so long to get to this point and now it's only a week away.  I'm getting excited and very nervous but I'm sure everyone goes through these feelings? I have so much to do this week to get ready to go into the hospital.  My dogs have to go to the vet to get a few shots so they can be boarded then I am going out of town with a friend to Wichita Thurs. evening won't be bac****il late Fri.  Thought about going to my sisters house Sat. my sister and niece wants to scrapbook (maybe that will take my mind off the surgery for a day?)  I have to order a part for my cpap machine and go pick that up so I think this week will be pretty busy and intense.  Sun. I will be leaving to go to Sedalia I want to get down there Sun. cause I have to be at Bothwell at 6:30am. I talked to one of my nieces (she is 36yrs old and overweight) she previously said she wanted to have wls but now she says that there are too many hoops you have to go through and she now says she probably won't ever have the surgery.  I was sorry to hear that cause I don't think you should give up on something like wls just because you have to go through so much to have it done.  It was a long journey but I'm sure it will be well worth it.  I think she may change her mind after she see's how I do with this.   Jan, I hope your having a wonderful vacation?  So when is your cruise departure?  Where are you going to on your cruise?  I hope you have a safe trip will be praying for you. I had to work today normally I'm off on Monday's but it's registration day and classes begin today so it's a little busy on campus. I hope everyone has a wonderful day...God Bless Bev

Hey Jan and Everyone!! Haven't been on for a while. My 88 year old MIL is in ICU. She went in a week ago last Friday for a "Simple 20 Minute procedure" to put in a pubic catherter sp?. Well, they put 2 holes in her small intestine and she had emergency surgery on Saturday to resect the small bowel. She had a ng tube and she pulled it out and when they replaced it they tore a small hole in her esophagus {praise the lord it sealed it's self} so that was a big scare. Tonight I am happy to report we have kept  the damage down for a couple of days and she had the ng tube taken out today and finally has gotten something to eat and drink. WHAT A WEEK! This is the first day home in a week. Needless to say we were afraid to leave her alone. I wished I could have gotten on sooner, she could have used the prayers. Glad to hear you are having a good time Jan. I will keep all on my prayer list. Please do the same for us.
