Missouri Bariatrics

This is my first post, but I have been reading for a while.  I called Missouri Bariatrics today to speak with Kelly, the dietitian.  I got her card at seminar and she told me to call her if I was having problems with anything.  They (I'm not sure who I talked to) told me that Kelly was no longer there.  Since I am a lurker, I knew to ask for Amy K.  So I did.  Amy K is no longer there either.  What is going on at that place?

I had problems with them as well. I would suggest contacting: Justin DeLap, Assistant Manager, at 884.5191

I want to thank you for giving me Justin DeLap's name and phone number. I was having a problem getting ahold of the insurance person at Mo Bariatics. Called Justin and in three days we had the insurance problem whipped into shape and a surgery date. I have the Missouri State Employees Insurance  and they have been giving employees who want surgery the run around all year (2007). This time they wanted a surgery date to Issure the surgery approveal and University of Mo wouldn't give a surgery date without have written approval, so they wwere guranteed they could get their money after surgery. Justin helped a lot, turned out the Insurance clerk had an emergency surgery, ruptured appendactamy.  My surgery is Feb 19 thanks to your information. Thanks Sue Latham.

From dealing with that office it seems to have totally gone downhill over the past 4-5 months or so.....totally disorganized and a new person to talk to every time you call/go in.  At least Jennifer the dietitian is still there (I think!).  Other than her, I think almost eeveryone else has left!  Doesn't give one much confidence for getting good consistent care, does it?

I sure am hesitant to have my surgery with them now.  How long has the new assistant manager been there?  It seems to have really gone downhill since management has changed.  The insurance lady left, and they put that other one who never called anyone back in her spot.  Then Dr. Scott left, then one of the dietitians, and now Amy K.   I hope it gets better, but I have little confidence in MBS. If we thought we didn't get called back before, how bad is it going to be now?  Amy K was the one that I turned to if I needed answers.  I know I could call the assistant manager if I didn't get any answers, but I just wish somebody would let us know what is going on.
