WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

I got an email from Dena today in Dr. Hornbostels office saying she was retireing her job there and going to work in the ER at the hospital. I think it was more or less wanting to stretch her wings some. I will surely miss her, she has been my source of information more than once.

Margie, Dr. Hornbostels wife will now be doing the job that Dena was doing.

Have the pay for view movie rented for tonight , (wild hogs) have had lots of people say it was really good so we will watch it. Cost a lot less to watch here than going to a movie lol

And can pause it when we want to,.

Got out the summer clothes today , trying to find enough really nice capris and tops for the cruise., I wont wear shorts my legs are too skinny and wrinkled I have never had skinny legs in my life, even when I was thin I always had muscular legs is a new concept to me to have someone say my legs are like bird legs. Sure wish I had all the excess skin off but that wont ever happen unless we win the lottery. Lol

Got a call from Craig tonight , He ask that all of us remember to pray for him on the surgery he is having on his neck to help close up the hole from the tube he had in there so long. That will be on the 11th . I know most of you have it written on a calendar or something but wanted to remind you all.

Speaking of reminding tomorrow is Faye Dexters weight loss surgery. Faye we are all pulling for you and I will be waiting for someone to call me ok? I know you will be ok but we will still all pray for you.

TRACI: lol I can always count on you being there first thing every morning ….thank you Traci, it means a lot to be able to count on someone being here. Friday is suppose to start warming up some , I hope so.

BRITT: thanks for the tip about walmart but all I see on there is the jersey shorts like basketball players wear. He is wanting like jean shorts or kaki shorts those type of things.

I may go the the salvation army and see if they have any out yet.

TAMMY: Yeah I hope this weather we are having calms down some too. I remember tornados on Christmas eve one time. My youngest daughter gathered up all of her presents and went down to the basement and hid out with them lol

I will try to take lots of pictures of our trip

Yeah I have to get my hair cut and colored too before we leave. I just hate going to have to sit still that long.

NUTTI: Iknow what you mean about being cold, Joe just laughs at me anymore. Im the person that never had anything on warmer than a windbreaker for outside now I cant find a coat that is warm enough.

Itsnt it amazing how much we can do now , that we aren’t carring around another person on our back, stomach, legs and hips.

I really don’t know how I did it before. I have lost 107 pounds and I tried to carry a 100 pound bag of feed the other day and couldn’t do it. Now how is that?

I bought one of those things from Fisher Price for my great grandson , he is 2 and he loves it. So I know miss Pixie will too.

It is really neat.

Don’t know that the cheese ball would really hurt you , nothing much in it that we cant have is there?

Anyway im glad to say I never ate anything that I wasn’t allowed lol not because I am that good , just because I didn’t make it . didn’t want to put temptation in my path, told all of them that if they wanted it they would have to make it and then leave with it right away lol

Yes you need passports to go anywhere outside of the now, even to or .

We have had our since 2006 when we knew they were going to do this. Glad we got them then because it is taking some people a long long time to get theirs now.

BOBBY JO:  oh my goodness are you sure you are ok>? I was really clumbsy after I started losing a lot of weight too. Your center of gravity changes and your body doesn’t know how to walk or stay balanced. Be Careful.

Oh im sorry about the heart being messed up too. Yes being low on B-100 can do that have you not been taking that all along?

Yes there is a big handful of pills that need to be taken daily and it will for the rest of your life. That will never change.

Get well and watch yourself tell you get those levels back up.

BEV: so sorry that you have been and still are sick keep drinking lots and lots of water to help flush that out of your system. You should be over that before you have surgery. Know that I am praying for you.

Yes im sorry that I will be out having fun on the ocean while you are having surgery but I will be on line most every day posting. I will know if you do well ok. Do you have someone you are going to call to let everyone know that you are doing ok?

And they can let us know ok? What about Debbie D? I know she would be more than willing to do this for you and us. Do you have anyone going to the hospital with you?

I always worry about the single girls on here . Take care and we will all be praying for you then and now too.

Well the orthopedic doc said I have to wear this cam walker (big boot) for another 2 weeks.  It's better than crutches but I am going crazy not being able to walk normally.   My scales said 180 pounds last week so if that is correct I have lost 140 pounds since 02/01/07 when I gave up Coke  & surgery 07/31/07.  It seems so weird when I do look in the mirror its like another person but its me - LOL Shannon

Hey Jan and All,          Well we got all moved. I love my new house. It is so comfortable. And I love having the laundry right here where I can get to it. Not in the basement. And the extra bathroom is nice and also the kitchen is about twice as big as my old one.Still putting up pictures and nik naks to make it home.Almost done though.       To be quite honest it's been a rocky week concerning my surgery. First my husband was for it.Then the other day he came to me and said he didn't want me to have it. He was scared some thing would happen. Then we talked about it again, so now he is ok with it again. So the surgery is still on for Tuesday.Just alot of emotions. But I guess that is to be expected. I did go get the powder form of slimfast. And it is much better. I have no problem drinking them now.We are still trying to decide if we are going to drive to Booneville and stay at the casino Monday night and then just drive the 45 mins. to Sedalia Tuesday morning. Or just get up and leave at 3:00a Tuesday morning and drive the three hours. That would really make a long day for my husband, because he will probally go back home Tuesday night. He will have to work Wed. and Thur. and probally come back on Fri. to pick me up.Well we will figure it all out.         Jan I think it is really neat that you are going on a cruise. I always thought that I would be afraid to go on one. But here lately I have been thinking it would be pretty neat.          I hope Janet is feeling better and can get on line again soon. I hope she knows we are all worried about her.         Shannon- I haven't seen you for awhile, but it sounds like you are doing great. I am anixous to see you again. I hope to be recovered enough to come to January's meeting. Hope to see you there.         Well I gotta go and get this house done. I want everything to be all done when I go for surgery so I can just come home and relax.Take Care all. God Bless. Tammy V.

My journey to live life to the fullest!!!
