SPRINGFIELD Support Grp 2008 Schedule
Hey folks! This info is for the newest Springfield WLS Support group, "ANGELS"....if you've not been to one of our meetings yet please stop by anytime! This group was formed to be a supplement to other groups in the area and is just a time to meet up with others who've had(or will have) WLS and any support people are welcome as well.
There's no group "leader", so those of us who sort of got the group going talked about the meeting days and decided to switch from Mondays for now do to class schedules, etc. We hope that since we'll be meeting 2 times a month that you'll be able to make at least of of the dates. Please NOTE that we'll be meeting either on Thursdays or Fridays now and it is based on what was available at the Library Station on Kansas Expressway. The new 2008 schedule has been made through the month of MAY as follows:

Please note the one time the room is NOT the Story Hr Rm.
We hope that folks will take advantage of this new group to get ongoing support from others who've "walked in your shoes". Us "long-term" post-ops need to have as much support as you newbies and THAT is probably the main reason for this group...It's helpful for newbies to be able to learn from long-term folks and the long-term folks benefit from hearing those early stages again.....sometime it's helpful to keep us in line!!
A reminder: This group is very "open format", come with ANY questions or concerns and we'll get to it! No planned ahead agendas....it may get a little loud..we may split into smaller groups...we'll do what it takes to be what all members are looking for. We look forward to seeing you there!!!!
