Hotels in Columbia?

Hi everyone, any information you can tell me about hotels. My daughter and I will be staying in Columbia the night before my surgery at University Hospital. Any of them give discounts? Also, I want to make sure my daughter can eat breakfast somewhere close.  Thanks for any information.  Helen 

Helen, Contact Amy King at Missouri Bariatric Services. She can give you a list of hotels in Columbia that offer surgery discounts. My wife decided to stay at a residence Inn because were there for three days and it has a full kitchen in the room. The closest hotel to the hospital is the Stoney Creek Inn. (800-659-2220). I stayed there once for pre-op tests. It is a few dollars more per night but is very nice. Good Luck! Jeff

I am the Queen of the Columbia Hotel issue. :) And DO I HAVE AN ANSWER.... THEY HAVE AN AWESOME MEDICAL RATE TOOOOOOO $49! I love these guys, I stayed there for all my pre-ops, and a week afterwards to recoup! Regency Inn, and it's VERYYYY close to the hospital. (((which I had to take a cab to and from))) they ALSO have a free continental breakfast in their lobby!!! 1111 E Broadway Columbia, MO 65201 (573) 443-2090  Make sure you tell them it's for a medical procedure, so you get their medical rate. The Main Street Cafe is located on the first floor of University Hospital. (Close to the Information Desk). It has a nice selection of food choices, is very reasonably priced, and quite tasty.

I have eaten there several times after my fills - good food, cheep!  it was even recommended by one of the staff at the hospital for their food!  That was the best recommendation we got and worth it!

Hi all, this is GREAT information and very timely....I hope (pray!) to be travelling up to Columbia soon for my first consult and needed to know where would be good to stay, close to the hospital and rather inexpensive.    

We stayed at a hotel right down town Columbia.  It was fun killing time walking around the night before in downtown...checking everything out.  It helped pass the time.  I wish I could remember the name...not the best place, but it was close!
