I have to use a cpap machine for my sleep apnea which I have had since 1993.  I have heard that some people are told not to use their cpap machines after surgery cause it pushes air into your pouch and can stretch it?  I was wondering if anyone out there used their cpap machine after surgery and did not have problems with air in their pouch?  I'm concerned about this becuase I don't want to stretch the pouch by all means and hoping that after losing weight can get off the cpap totally!!! Any suggestions? Bev~

Bev,

I use Cpap.  They had me bring it to the hospital so after surgery they put it on me.  I don't believe it will stretch your pouch out.  If anything it will help you feel more rested by using it.  But before you continue or discontinue please call your doctor.  I continue to use mine.  I have heard that some people after about 6 months to a year have a sleep study done to see if they still need it and depending on what type of sleep apena you have you may not need it anymore. Good Luck

Peace in all you do,
Bel
I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it, I like it!
