I have not eaten anything I'm not supposed to.  Still on clear fluids and jello but got horrible gas pains in my tummy tonight.  Enough to keep me awake.  It's 3am.  I was hoping someone can tell me if we are allowed to take something for it?  Milacon 80 like you can give a baby?  It's a liquid.  I take prilosec otc for heartburn but haven't had issue with that.  Just Gas and can't figure out what caused it.  I'm doing my walking too.  So if you have a suggestion please help.

Peace in all you do,
Bel
I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it, I like it!

You may want to call the people at Bothwell Regional or the hospital that you will be having surgery at and asking the people that deal with Gastric bypass patients, they might be able to help you with that information.

I suppose it could still be gas working it's way out from your surgery.  If so, there's not much you can take that will really help - it just has to work it way out of your body.  However, if it is, by chance, from something you ate or not from your surgery, then Mylanta has a liquid that also helps with gas.  Call your surgeon to double-check that you can have it, but I've taken that and it helped.

Belanna they pump you full of air to do surgery and is normal for you to still have gas after only 4 days post op. Gas x that melts on your tongue is great, you might have to take about 3 of them before relief but they are good stuff, and keep walking walking and walking you should start farting soon and that will give you suce relief as you have never known....love you am praying for you too.  Jan

Hey Belanna, Ditto to what Jan says the gas-x works great and walking and sitting on the toilet.LOL Sometimes I don't make it to the toilet, but no one laughs cuz they know it's for medicinal reasons LOL Connie
