Was getting ready to come home yesterday around noon when My surgeon and his PA came in to see me with some bad new. Not horrible but bad nevertheless.  My red blood cell count was way too low. was down to 8.1 should be up to 11 but since it was right after surgery they would settle for a 9.0 , so I had to stay awhile till i got two pints of bloon in me. So  to make a long story longer, after 6 more hours and and all the waiting for the lab ,before to get the blood to us and getting it in it was finally up to 10 Yeahthey said the rest of it would arise later too more than likely. I will go on the 10th to my pcp for blood work again.  well i need to get my knee elevated so will go now Janet am sending you a note on your e mail site.  Jan

Welcome Home, Jan!! Glad to hear you are doing well.  My red blood cell count dropped really low right after my rny back in March.  I had to have two pints of blood too (I had 2 pints of my own blood stored, just in case).  It took them almost 8 hours to pump that blood back into me.  Did it take that long for you? You be sure and follow your doctor's orders and take care of yourself!  We all missed "seeing" your smiling face every morning! Janet has done a great job posting the daily What's Happening thread and we all appreciate her so much! Have a great weekend! Love, Debbie D.

Hey Jan, Glad to see you're home. I know how much better it is to be home than in a hospital. I'll continue with the prayers and you rest easy and heal up. Connie
