WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY (HOSPITALS)

Well this is my last post for awhile …

Remember Ronald Bailey’s birthday on the 5^th and Bellana surgery on the 7^th. And then next week on the 12^th is Connie Wright and Jane S. both have surgery on the same day. To all of you congratulations hope your day is great Ronald and girls will be praying for you during your surgery that all goes well and that God is watching over you the whole time.

My surgery is in Skaggs hospital and will have to be there at 10am surgery is about 11am . not real sure but think it is about 3 to 4 hours long so Janet wont hear anything until around 4 or so. Went and did my blood work today for the matching for blood to be on hand. So that is all set.

Got a phone call from my pcp tonight she said that the ultra sound came back with nothing immediate to worry about but that is a probably goiter on my Thyroid gland . I was just wondering why something hasn’t showed up in thyroid test I have had yearly? I have even ask them about my extremely dry skin and use to be not having any energy. And a lot of other symptoms and nothing.

She said she would sit up an appointment with the endocrinologist  for about 2 weeks after surgery.

So it isnt anything to worry about right now anyway.and it might not even be that who knows. Will check it out later.

At least the things that go wrong with this body can be fixed with a pretty easy surgery.

You moved? Was it closer to your school ? Hope you are really likeing it.

TRACI: well how did your support meeting go? I hope you have a great one like we do.

Our next one is on the 17^th two weeks after my surgery. But I will be there even if I am still on crutches. Lol. It is our Christmas party.

TAMMY: THE DRUGGIE: lol girl I was falling off my chair reading your accounts of going to visit your nephew. Lol so funny . Sounds like who ever does their laundry is smuggling in drugs for the inmates. That happens in every prison and that one is probably no exception. I know if they check it out that is probably will find. Maybe you ought to call someone and tell them so they can check into if the prison doesn’t want to. There is no other way that stuff could have gotten on there. Still was a fun piece to read.

 

Hey yeah I do spend hours in the winter time deciding where and what I am going to plant next year. And moving things that didn’t work where I had them.I do a lot of figuring and designing in winter.

Oh I didn’t know that some of your company had moved out , which ones and when? Or was it all of them.

Anyway I know you are happy about the spare space.

 

 

BEV: HONEY so sorry that you have been having so much stress but maybe you are getting it all over with before your surgery so you can concentrate on yourself.

You will have to put yourself first after that to get the results you want to get.

It wont be long now till you start that liquid diet. Yuck.

So sorry about your little sister.

Will keep her in our prayers.

Maybe after surgery you can find you a better job with better pay and more hours so you will be able to live a better life. You are in my prayers daily

 

 

 

RENEE: Sure wished we could have gotten some of the rain you all had. But it didn’t come down this low in the state.

Well I would say it was probably time for a new tree but I know it hurt about the angel.

That is so nice all the ornaments that you have. I have a bunch of them like that too. But this year my tree is ultra modern lol Purple and gold…I probably will go back to my old fashioned one next year. I have a lot of the old ornaments hanging from a string around the room.

I don’t know how long I will be in the hospital. Some of them said 3 days some said 5 so I guess some where in there. Lol

Don’t know if you would say excited but im anxious to get it over and start working on the rehab and get it going good.

 

 

JANET: so did you have to work tonight? Are you ok? I will be leaving the house in the morning about 8:30 so if you need to talk to me via email that will be fine or you can call me on the phone.

I know you will do a great job on doing the Whats Happening post. Thanks ever so much for doing it for me. Love you bunches.

Dear Jan and OH Peeps~

Please pray for Jan today, she is having her knee replacement surgery! As soon as I hear from Joe, I will get on here and post that she breezed through surgery and is doing great. We know this, because we are claiming it already!!! (Love you, Jan)

For the past 2 days I had been in the worst pain I have ever experienced!! My molar that broke, caused my face to swell like something I have only seen in movies! Went to bed Sunday looking like I had one golf ball in my cheek, and by midnite-it looked like there was 3, couldnt shut my mouth all the way and was drooling like a teething baby! So I call the dentist I have used on and off for at least 15 yrs and he wants $150 to pull it and if I HAVE to come in on Monday, on an emergency basis-its $50 more. Mel told me of a place that has a sliding fee scale, and goes according to my income-I call them and they had an opening for 1:15....I took it. I would have given my first born at this point (LOL, Love ya megan!!) So, I get in there. They told me to bring $50 for my first visit. The dentist comes in and they take x-rays (OMG....I think I would have rather had a 2x4 rammed up my bum~) After I about come out of the chair moaning like a maniac-she pulls the deal out of my cheek AND THEN PUTS TOPICAL CREAM ON ME!!! so, Im numbed, she takes the x-ray and doc is standing there, looks at the x-ray and comes and looks in my mouth and he starts to tell me that even though I started taking antibiotics on Saturday night (had a feeling it was going to get infected) that what I was taking wasnt strong enough-and that not only can he NOT pull the tooth right now because the infection is so severe-but that I am going to lose 3 teeth because of the severity of the infection and that the antibiotics can cause extreme damage to my intestinal track-and can even be fatal????? WTH? To make matters worse, I felt like my lips were swelling up-but figured it was just from getting some of that topical cream on them-until he asks me if Im allergic to anything and I say penicillin and the tech goes-Uh oh....HUH? There was penicillin in the cream! The dentist tells me that there wasnt enough used for me to have the severe reaction that I have had before (throat swells shut and I blow up like a blow fish) Easy for you to say, YOUR face doesnt look like something out of the movie-The Hunchback of Notre Dame, now does it? I also have Mitral Valve Prolapse and have to be on antibiotics for a couple of days before a procedure and a couple of days after. So-its just not a good deal all the way around. The percocets I take for my back arent even helping! I cant wait to get this out of my head. I am miserable! He said the antibiotics should kick in in a day or two and that I should start to feel better than...I sure hope so!

I got a letter in the mail on Saturday (got it pretty late when I got home) that said that my liver is enlarged-as well as how bad my gb is-and that my PCP doesnt want me to wait....Ok then, give me the answers-cause unless you want to work me as a selfpay pt until my paperwork is worked-I dont know what else to do. I cant afford to pay for it up front IF I had that kind of money laying around-I wouldnt be in this position....So-it is what it is-as soon as my paperwork goes through I will be going to a lot of different visits it looks like. I wasnt this unhealthy when I weighed almost 450#. This makes me sad.

Mel was in the Emergency Room Sunday night too-I knew she had strep-and she was going to try and wait to see her PCP....She ended up having strep, tonsilitis and bronchitis. Plse say some prayers that she gets better soon. She didnt get to go to Springfield to her moms appt with the cancer doc yesterday because of her being sick and not wanting to risk giving it to her mom or sister. Her mom will be having surgery on Jan 4th. Please include her in prayer as well.

The kids finally finished putting their ornaments on the tree last night. It looks so nice. Stephanie said it would look better with all new and themed ornaments and I told her that I LOVE the way our tree looks because a lot of the ornaments the kids made in school or they were made and given to me by friends or what hv you-I love them all. Will never change that!!

I have to go to town again today-when I left the dentist yesterday I was suppose to go pay a couple of bills and stop at the store-and I just couldnt do it. I had to push myself to go to my moms house to pick up Jon!! I was pretty edgy and really just wanted to go in my room and shut the door and cry....didnt get to-but I did rotate ice and heat on my face until I finally fell asleep. I only woke up about 3 times last night, in pain, take a pill and lay back down with heat....

Yes, I cant wait to get dentures. At this point, I dont care anymore-I dont ever want to feel that pain again! Like I said before-I am the oldest person on my moms side to still have my real teeth-but it sure has cost a pretty penny and its just not worth it anymore-too many of them have suffered during pregnancies, surgeries and life-LOL..No more-

**Tammy-I was trying to laugh when I read about your prison visit. ONLY YOU.. NO, just kidding-I was thinking-thats something that would happen to ME...LOL..How funny is that? Good Morning Everyone,

Now get up from where you fell over when you saw it was me!  I have been having a rough go of it the last few weeks. With this unbearable back pain, and then the depression sets  in worse! It's such a vicious circle with the back pain, the  fibromyalgia, the CFS, the depression and then all the laying  around because if you get up to try to do any house work the  pain gets worse.  I have a stool, like a doctor's office has with  wheels on it, that I always used when I was to fat to do any  type of housework I sat on it and rolled wherever I needed  to go in the house.  Well back to what I was saying, anyway I have been using that  stool again to wash dishes, because the standing in one spot  causes severe back pain. But I know I will prevail because the Lord is holding me in His hand! I will be going to the surgery center tomorrow to have the Flouoscopic Epidural put in my spine. I do pray that I can get some relief! Janet, I feel the same way you do about going through this last year  and 1/2 with having the WLS and losing 121 pounds and seems my  back pain is worse! Bless your heart I know exactly what you are going through with  your teeth! I have had dentures since I was 28 years old. My teeth were not to bad until after I had my 3 kids. But with all the bone problems in my family and then the 3  pregnancy's in 3 1/2 years zapped my teeth. I had a abcess one time so bad that I was the same way you described  with the drooling and couldn't shut my mouth! I always referred to  mine as feeling like I had a softball in my cheek. Lord have mercy on  you cause I know there ain't nothing like  toothache pain! I went in the hospital and under general anesthesia surgery they cut  my gums open pulled out the teeth and sewed my gums closed! It was  some painful after but not anything like the toothache! Love you girl and I do pray you will be able to get your gallbladder out  soon because it scares me that you have to wait so long. When I worked  in the hospital I was always told that  if your GB gets to diseased that  it can rupture like your appendix. I will be sending prayers to God on your  behalf! Jan I do pray that your surgery will be easy for you and that your  recovery will be easy. Tammy thank you for calling  and checking on me! I have been having a rough go of it the last few weeks. With the back and then my daughter's FIL passed away and also this lovely little lady that went to our church at Cobalt Village. We have known her for almost 5 years,we visited with her weekly  in her home and came to love her dearly! She was 82 years old. Dennis preached her funeral and she wanted me to sing, I did it but I cried the whole time from the time the service started until it was time for me to sing, I was able to make it through the song without crying, then as soon as I stopped singing the  water works started again! I am honored when I am asked to sing at a funeral service, and I have done it alot! But boy it is sure hard to do! But God always helps me!  Well I have got to try to do some housework around here today! Cause not doing anything the last few weeks is starting to show! Bless Dennis' heart, he has been keeping the dishes washed up. Well Dennis has come in for dinner so I got to wrap this up and try to  get myself moving.  Thank you to everyone that has said a prayer for me. Have a wonderful day!!!

The support meeting last night was awesome!!  My kiddos are finally back in school  today after a long Thanksgiving break.  now I have some web design work to catch up on.  So I better get to it! Jan our thoughts and prayers are with you.... we know you will be fine in no time.  I hope everyone had a great holiday and a better week after....We are trying to get the house situated for the onslaught of all the kids arriving and staying for two weeks with no interruptions then for a trip to chicago for Christmas... instead of spring cleaning ( we are so busy int he spring) we do winter cleaning and thats when we get rid of things so we are finding things we thought were lost LOL hubby found stocking stuffers he bought two years ago and forgot about that was amusing... then he found work clothes that he thought he had left on out of town trips and all so winter cleaning is a good thing

Helloooooo Mo! hey Jan! GET WELL SOON!  tammy I have been busy and now I have miss Pixie....momma went back to work, so Iget to watch her from 11-6...pure bliss thats for sure.  been cleaning my house...doing those things that I havent been able to do that only I see and know needs done.....  like cleaning Catriona's room....havent yet but its comming. she has the larger of the 2 attic bedrooms and Im sure its a hellish mess!  our hovel is 100 yrs old and when we decided to access the attic Dean built a VERY sturdy ladder....10 yrs later we are still using it...needless to say I havent been up it in a few yrs....soooo god knows what the 2 rooms look like these days. but during Christmas break that is where Im going NEXT!   wont I be Loved!?! probably not but Im thinking a huge rummage sale is in order....I need to purge! always liked stuff an had plenty BEFORE I started building dollhouses and making miniatures.  but now I am splitting at the seams! now that I am a new me I have decided that for sure I am cleaning out my upper shed...it is right behind my house at my back door and I am going to use it as a shop....than I could display my houses and hide my MESS!   but I have to get more phisically fit. Janet try also swooshing peroxide around the infected area!  I just go over a really bad root infection...looked like I had a tumor under my jawline...to poor to go to dentist but one of my GF said to use the peroxide....brush teeth after...in 2 days I was feeling MUCH better and that is without antibiotics.  if you are hurting that bad it could help speed the healing....I now have a bottle just for that purpose in the med cabnit. please call me...I have lost your number and my e-mail went klapooy Mel...thinking about you I hope you will feel better soon and go see yer mom.  well I just wanted to post and let yall know that I am in here reading just  to busy take the time to sit and right.....  and ladies I have a theroy about why the backs hurt so now.....the fat was keeping it all bunched together and now the bones just loose!(ducking) hey its just a thought!    I had back surgery when Catie was in 1st grade ...I know where you are comming from! I would rather have had a baby through my rear than do that again!  Im glad I can get this weight off of me now...the surgeon had to do mine while I was on my side and told me if I didnt get it off he would be seeing me again....than I gained 200 more pounds. Im back were I was when I had that surgery. soooo maybey I have dodged that bullet for now.  and I cant have GB issuse coz my sweet Dr took mine out during the RNY and I had a full hysterectomy last yr so dont have female issues either. so Im guess Im good unless these teeth act up on me. I have an almost full container of the chocolate whey from Wal-marts....anyone use it? I alredy had one and mom gave me hers.  no way I am going to be able to use that mucjh chocolate...I use vanilla mainly. hate for it to go to waste..... Have a great day nutti
