Missouri Dr's who take Medicaid

I live in the KC area but would go about anywhere to find a doc who takes Medicaid. Do any of you know any Docs who do or have been in this position.Thanks

THAT IS NOT CORRECT. I JUST CALLED DR. HORNBOSTELS OFFICE AND THEY DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICAID FOR THE WLS.  AS FAR AS I KNOW MO BARIATRICS IN COLUMBIA IS THE ONLY ONE AT THIS TIME.  JANET

I have Dr. Hornbostel as my Dr. and I have Medicaid and Medicare and I have surgery scheduled with them . So I don't know who you talked to but they have accepted it for me.

You both are right,,,,Dr. H. doesnt take medicaid, the MO. Barietrics does in Columbia.  Dr. H. accepts Medicare and that is what will be paying for your surgery. Not too long till your surgery is it Tammy. will be praying for you sweetie

I live in St. Charles.  I have MCplus which is medicaid but I have Healthcare USA.  Dr. Hornbostel does take Healthcare USA.  Its the only medicaid program he takes.  He also takes medicare.  I was approved recently.  I am having surgery January 3. Kelly

You also might take a minute and call the Medicaid people. They can give you information and then you have the decision of which doctor to see. I know that Dr. Hornbostel does take Medicare and I am glad that he is the doctor that I chose and trusted. The best thing to do is to call Medicaid and find out from them, the doctors that they have listed that are acceptable doctors.
