Joplin

I am near the Joplin area and have heard that there are quite a few others around here, also. Has anyone ever looked into starting a local Support Group? It would be so much more convenient than driving to Springfield. I would also be willing to help however I could. B_S

  Hey Im close to Joplin! there has been talk of starting a group around here but Im not sure how that is going.... I think it is a great idea...but I am only 3 months out and not in a position to start a group.... I dont drive to Springfield for my support group I attend one in Rogers AR....same distance to drive...less confusing to find. and most of the folks there have used my Dr. thats why I go. if you would like to share a ride to either meeting please let me know....I gots a nice ride. if you arent attending a group you should! support is VERY important! Im so happy you are having success and feeling good! nutti

B_S       Hello neighbor. I'm with Nutti I too live in Carthage. We usually car pool to the support meeting in Springfield. I didnt realize that they have a group meeting here in Joplin. Janet & I have talked about starting one in the Joplin area. I will have to check out the meeting to see how it is. I also would like to extend an invatation to join us in our carpool to Springfield. The next meeting is in December and that is when were having our christmas party and gift exchange. Your more then welcome to join us. Melissa

Sweet Melissa, Nutti, & Bad_Sheepy, We have so many support group leaders that we've consolidated them on the OH Support Group Locator.  You can go to each state and see where an OH group is.  We update and add new groups all the time so the locator has been the easiest way to keep members informed on the addition of OH support groups. In the next couple of months, there will be a new way for you to stay connected and obtain support from your OH support group leader that is very exciting.  I'll let you know when more info is available.  You'll love it!
