I was talking with my neice on Monday, and told her that I had my support group meeting that night. I had a couple of situations that I thought were going to affect me going. She informed me that me going to my support group meeting was just as important and an alcoholic going to AA.  So my loser friends, it was nice to see everyone. I am thankful for my friends and every month it is wonderful to see all of you  even though there is less of us each month. Maybe at our December meeting we can see how much we have lost as a group. We are a team and I think that people overlook what we have accomplished as a group. Give me some input and I would be happy to make a chart or something so that we can keep track of it.  Thanks, Thelma

Wow Thelma, what a sobering thought! I never thought about it that way but it makes so much sense to me. Your neice sounds like one smart cookie! It was great to see you to, Thelma! I've been thinking about how it's great to see everybody and the changes in them from month to month. It truly is amazing to watch, we need to keep taking pics on a monthly basis. I think that will be a great addition to the chart that you make (if everyone decides that they want to do the chart). So I guess I'd be in for doing the charted weight if everybody else want to. I also wanted to tell you that I love all of your idea that you share at the meetings. Lots of things that I never thought to do (i.e..chopped up frozen protein bars...can't wait to try this), keep those tips coming! Hope you are having a good week, Thelma! Cassandra

I am having a fantastic week. I went to the doctor's office on Wednesday and I am 2 pounds from the 130 pound lost marker. I made my chicken enchilada soup today and oooooooh it is so good. I keep looking for a web-site that I can punch my ingredients in and see what the nutritional value per serving would be. It tastes so good.  I think that this is what I will bring next meeting. It has very few carbs.  My oldest son is talking about coming with me to the next meeting. He is an awesome one.  I thought about tracing a "gingerbread boy" cookie cutter and for every 10lbs we have lost, each person is to put their name on it and put it on the chart. 50 means 500 pounds and I know we have lost that much so far as a group and probably much more. You are an inspiration to me. I also mentioned in an email to Tony that he needs to bring his before picture with him. I cried when I saw it. God has blessed us all very much. See ya at the next meeting.Thelma

What an awesome group we have.  I had such a good nite on Monday as I needed the inspiration you each give to me too.  I think the chart is a good idea Thelma.  It would be fun to see it in the writing. or in the form of a graph.  I hit the jackpot with all those new clothes you brought me too.  I already wore the yellow sweater.  Thanks again.   Looking forward to the meeting on the 17th and the potluck.  I am already thinking of what I can bring.  I got home the other nite in time to celebrate birthday with my daughter.  Keep up the good work and EVERYONE PLEASE TAKE YOUR VITAMINS EVERY DAY.  Colette
