Move on Over -- I am Officially a Loser

I'm home!!  I can't believe it's over.  After 9 months of research, tests, etc., my surgery took place on Nov 15th. Going in we figured it would be an open surgery however, because my surgeon is the best doctor I've had and believe I've had a lot, she was able to use the scope for my surgery and my journey contines on down the road. With my medical history, I would have bet $100 that it would be open.  The first thing my husband told me was "she was able to use the scope."  So on with clear liquids for a week or so. Thanks to everyone for your posts & emails, they helped me with the courage to move forward. God Bless, TrudyL

Hi Jan & members.  Thanks to everyone for the posts & emails as they gave me the courage throughout the year. It's hard to believe the surgery is behind me.  I hardly remember Thursday after they took me to table and Friday was a blur, but I'm home now to continue the journey.   I'll write more later, it's nap time.    Trudy

God Bless,

Dear Trudy, Welcome to the bench (patting the space next to me)  We are so glad you are FINALLY here with us.  I am so sorry for not being there for you, however. I ended up in the hospital twice in the past month with pnuemonia and have had several visits to contend with, because they have since found out my gb is bad. Wished they would have found that months ago-so I am so sorry. If you need me-please email me directly, at  [email protected] put something in the subject line so I know its you. I would love to talk to you. Will email you my phone number too, if you want it-if I hear from you. What an exciting-but also frustrating time this is going to be-and I just want you to know that we will all be here for you should you have questions, concerns or what have you.  Love you and CONGRATS again. So glad your on the losers bench finally.  Love, Janet
